Hunting & Fishing Pls suggest Chest rig / bino harness

Hi mate. The HPG has been okay, but it requires any of the MOLLE addons to sit off the main pocket which I dont like as much. I recently bought a locally made bino harness with MOLLE flaps on each side. I am hoping that is the answer, but wont know for a couple of months when I start hunting...

    Terminus Zeus feeding issue

Apologies for the possible thread hijack, but just chiming in to say I am having exactly the same problem with a Curtis Custom Valour action in 6 Dasher. Thought it was relevant since its a very similar action to the OP. Using MDT 12 round mags with the action in an MDT ACC chassis, and feeding...

Hunting & Fishing 130 AR hybrid or 120/123 AMAX on deer?

I know Sam Millard was using them in the past with his 260 Rem. He was pretty happy with them out to a fair distance. Below is one of the hunting video youtube links he posted:

Hunting & Fishing Pls suggest Chest rig / bino harness

Well, I went with the majority of the suggestions got a HPG Recon Kit Bag to try out. I found a barely used second had, so easily available to me at a reasonable price. Does anyone have a recommendation for a MOLLE attachment for bino carry and / or pouches for Garmin Rino GPS, Apha 100...

    6gt

Well, for anyone who's interested, I ended up using 33.5gn of IMR 8208 XBR (Benchmark 8208 powder in Australia) with Fed 205M primers to load up some 66gn BT match bullets I had on hand. That load was listed as a minimum load for a 6Dasher and I figured it was worth a try. In my rifle that was a...

    6gt

Anyone got load data for the 6GT with lighter bullets - somewhere around 70g grains? I know thats not really the intended use of the gay tiger, but I have a lot of 6mm bullets around the 70 grain weight, and I am thinking I will use them to shoot 100 yard drills to save my supply of 100gn +...

Thanks. I am in Australia, so no handgun carry possible. But based on a few of the comments added to this thread, I will take a good look at Alaska Guide Creations.

Hunting & Fishing Pls suggest Chest rig / bino harness

Guys, looking for suggestions to manage gear I am using a lot on hunting trips. I am currently running a marsupial gear bino harness with my RF binoculars and also some pockets to carry a garmin rino and a garmin astro. I also carry a pack, but like having these items on my chest handy as they...

MDT introduces the HNT26! A 26 Ounce Carbon Fiber Hunting Chassis.

He has it set up as a switch barrel. He has a stainless 375 Ruger barrel and a carbon 300 win mag barrel. This hunt was with the 300WM using 180gn Accubonds. More rifle than he needed for this hunt, but he was really pumped to try his new rifle.

RRS ball head for Innorel tripod

Guys I have a couple of Innorel carbon tripods with Innorel ball heads which have been okay to shoot off. I would like to see if I can make the tripod a better platform to extend my range a bit, so thinking it might be worthwhile to try a Really Right Stuff ball head on the tripods. What do...

MDT introduces the HNT26! A 26 Ounce Carbon Fiber Hunting Chassis.

My son used his Defiance / HNT26 build for a deer hunt on the weekend. Took two fallow deer does (we are in Australia), both at 220 meters off a carbon tripod attached to the arca rail. He loves the rifle.

    The Terminal List

Yes, developing the story on any form of filmed media seems to be a problem. I was expecting it to be about 12 episodes, but I guess dealing with the average attention deficit is too much of a challenge these days?

    The Terminal List

Okay, I will give it another chance. But if I still dont like it after I watch the rest of the episodes, you will owe me about hours 6 hours of my life :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

    The Terminal List

I have read the books, so would normally not bother to even watch a tv / movie adaptation. But with Jack Carr pushing it hard for months, and seemed to be actively involved with the production, I went into it with high hopes. I have only watched the first 2 episodes so far, but pretty...

Hunting & Fishing 103 ELD-X on coyotes, deer

I took my PRS rifle in the 6mm gay tiger to a friends to clean up some rabbits. The 108gn ELD-M that I normally shoot in matches worked fine on the rabbits. I think it would work well on coyotes, but as noted it will do some damage.

Mausingfield 338 Lap action stock fit

I cant find much written about the Mausingfield 338 Lapua action, other than a post by longrifles on their FB profile in 2016 stating it would only be made on a 1.4" or 1.5" diameter action. From what I can see, the current Mausingfield 338 Lap offering IS a standard Rem long action size? Can...

    Anyone film their matches?

Filming yourself shooting is an awesome training tool. Seeing what you are doing is way more valuable than being told a lot of the time. If I have someone point out an issue, and see myself doing it on video, I find that is very helpful in correcting the problem. Its easier in practice than...
