I can only speak from experience, but I did NOT know about the Elite Tactical line until I joined Snipershide. I have been very impressed with the value I have gotten from my LRTSi 3-12 and the DMR II 3.5-21, and even the Match Pro 6-24. I'd like to see another 1-8.5 with an improved reticle...
Knight's Armament LMT (QC reports are troubling, and I have several) Noveske Centurion Arms BCM Daniel Defense Seekins LaRue (Recent price increases hurt, but triggers and Stealth 2.0 stripped uppers are top-tier value) V7 / Dark Hour Defense (Outstanding and ultra light-weight, I disagree with...
Any updates on this? Have we seen any further problems with the quick-change barrel? Seems like the Seekins ticks a LOT of boxes, and I am very interested in this rifle.
Honestly the BCM picatinny rails are fan-fuckin-tastic. You wouldn't even have to remove the barrel nut just swap em out, sell the old one w/ the new barrel nut and move on with your life.
That is reassuring to hear, although I need the 10.5" handguard for my build. Criterion suggests using Loctite Green 609 for the barrel extension, but the idea of using a shim makes just as much sense to me. Given my penchant for overlubrication I'm sure I'd make a mess of it. The Core barrels...
Believe Doc was just saying it's still worth it. Considering he's a name I recognize across several forums now I can still take value from that. Gracias.
Hey Fly now that you've had that setup for a while would you do anything differently? I've got a Core 12.5 waiting on a home and that Stealth 2.0 is calling to me. The problem is they're $500 bucks now... Still worth? Gotta love a good necrothread.
I have received everything I've ordered from V1Tactical earlier than the allocation said. I think they do the best they can, and they didn't price gouge like some of the other suppliers. There is another supplier I'll never buy from again. That being said, I'd prefer if they charged when shipped.
Have you gotten any more rounds downrange? I've got the same barrel and matched bolt going into a LaRue Stealth 2.0 upper, and have been debating how to set it up.
Took my LMT Defender out to the range with a box of Federal Steel Match 155gr BTHP. Rifle shot sub-moa, but had several FTF and one double feed. I am not overly concerned because I don't intend to run steel case and it may have been a mag issue. I am very happy with both the accuracy and the...
I just purchased the TBAC 22 from Hansohn Bros, and got to inspect it the other day. Man I am starting to understand the obsession. Have the Mask, it is very good. I have a Rugged Surge and a Micro30 on the way, and I'm extremely impressed with their quality. In order I'd go ThunderBeast...
In addition to the upper receiver to barrel fit, barrel torque and contour also come into play. I cannot for the life of me find the youtube video where one of the premier barrel manufacturers was saying that for a bull barrel 47 ft/lbs is ideal, and to increase torque by 5 ft/lbs until optimal...
Black River Tactical has EZTUNE gas tubes you can swap out to adjust your gas drive on the MWS. I have barely shot this thing and I am in love with the features and aftermarket support.
The Seekins MXM is about the best mount you can buy for the money IMO. There is a significant price jump to the Nightforce, Badgers, and Spuhr, etc. Edit: What platform are you mounting these on? Not sure what ring height you need.
I think ArmaLite gets overlooked, and from what I understand it's SuperSASS actually beat the LMT and HK in the British trials. If i hadn't been set on an LMT for the barrel swap I may have ended up with one of their models.
