Any mountain bikers out there 2.0

Thanks! I'm done buying for maybe the rest of my life. Never say never though. Yeah its a medium. I'm right in the size zone where a small might be too small because suggested max is 5'7 and I'm 5'7". I'm used to bigger bikes, having a medium and a large, and was afraid small would feel twitchy...

Gen X parents have lost their minds

Sad to find this out, just horrible! My daughter at 18, was then, and is now at 39, way more responsible than I'll ever be. It's her nature which I frequently tease her about. Nice person, straight A's in high school, and a high achieving type. So depends on the person. Ha, I paid for half her...

Ordered my new Orbea Wild EMTB a bit over two weeks ago from IBB cyclery in UT thus avoiding tax, received it partially assembled in a box about 3 days later, then dropped it off at the LBS on Thursday of last week for full assembly plus install some aftermarket parts. I was supposed to pick...

Rifle Scopes March FFP 1.5-15x42 MPVO Review and Comparison (w/ Nightforce and Athlon)

He's a fellow airgun shooter so pretty close compared to what most shooters envision, like 10 yards or so, or maybe a few yards closer on occasion. On top of that doing so on max magnification, while in perfect focus, is the cherry on top.

Back when I bought my Storm the Fat 26"x4.5" front tire was severely lacking in grip at the edge so it'd slide out on pretty easy turns if it was the slightest bit slippery, like in soft cinders, silty soil, or on damp roots. Back then I searched for a more aggressive front tire but the industry...

A few years ago I rented an old Kona DH bike at a ski resort during the summer to take the lift up to the top. This resort had newer ones but they were another $50 bucks so I decided to rent the cheaper one. When I started riding down I was "shocked" how the bike's handling was odd and kind of...

Congrats! Your Kat reminds me of my 5 year old Bakcou Storm except updated and modernized more. My suspension is 120/100 so not much and my fork and shock are pretty low end but hey fully suspended nonetheless. I too got a great deal because I bought the Storm for dealer price at the Shot...

    AI chassis for Anschutz

Nice custom chassis system. Ah there's an extension like I was trying to describe.

    AI chassis for Anschutz

I hadn't thought of the fact that the access to the end of the bolt isn't there like in my wood stocked 1827F. I wonder if ANA has a aftermarket thumb tab that can be attached to the back of the bolt so it sticks out to the right farther so the thumb can manipulate it normally???

    AI chassis for Anschutz

That's odd?? Mine is slick and easy to close. The action is meant to run fast which means the bolt uses momentum on closing, otherwise there is a slight click at the end of the push stroke. Or maybe the chamber was clogged up with residue.

    AI chassis for Anschutz

Just mentioning that the Fortners are so far above the other Biathlon style actions that they are definitely worth the extra expense, that is if one can afford it. But if its out of the budget then Oh Well, or else keep saving. These 1727F AI's are out of mine currently because I've spent WAY...

Rifle Scopes Athlon Ares ETR vs everything else for PRS rimfire.

The APRS6 has all .2 mils so no .5's mixed in. I like the congruity in the 6 for holds.

Rifle Scopes Athlon Ares ETR vs everything else for PRS rimfire.

I prefer the Athlon turrets, apparent build quality, and Athlon warranty just in case. Had a older ETR 4.5-30 and sold it because of the odd reticle design but otherwise it was a great scope. Have a SFP ETR 15-60x56 and the IQ is super nice, like right there with my S&b nice, I'm not...

    Is going from a 6BRA to a 6.5 worth it? Or do a 7mm?

Yeah, it's like the 6mmBR of the 7mm world and throated way out for single feed isn't far behind 7 Saum if a longer barrel is used. Lot's of 1000Y F-class wins with this cartridge as well. I currently use 6mmBR and also a 6.5 Saum/ 3240 fps with 140 hybrid in a heavy 29 incher with a huge brake...

How many of you are shooting 6.5cm to a mile or even 2000 yds?

I don't have a 6.5CM but I feel like sharing anyway since the weather is not cooperative right now and I'm staying inside. One time we were shooting ELR at 1450Y. I felt like trying my 6x47L using 115gr DTACS at 3000 fps. The others had 338L AI, and IIRC 338L, 284 Win, also one 6.5CM. It was...

    I wish I had known

Yeah life seemed more simple back then in the 60 to mid 80's. The problem nowadays is the decent deeper into rebellion thus getting farther away spiritually from the Father in heaven and the optimal way He designed how it should be. Mom and Dad didn't believe, I was taught that way, and I was...

    Savage Anschutz model 141

Congrats. My first firearm at age 12 was a 141M 22 magnum more than 50 years ago, and about 15 years ago happened into a 141. Both shot great and are fantastic classics.

    IMR4895 H4895 Alternative

I'm thinking of trying Varget again, Vit 133-135, 8208, or Stabal Match. Really hate using super temp sensitive powders, the worst of which for me was 2520. Sure wish Hodgdon would make multiple batches of H4895 so it wouldn't sell out within hours because its been my go-to for many years...

6 ARC - Anyone Regret It? Also considering 22 ARC

I wonder what the difference in barrel life would be comparing 22ARC, 6mmARC, and 6.5G, using similar pressure and attempting to use similar BC's? I haven't kept up on what a good aftermarket AR barrel is but I paid about $550 for a complete upper in 6mmFatRat about 5-6 years ago. I guess if a...
