    1. HOW-TO: Ultimate AR Bolt Slick up

Part 1 of ??: I'm working up/building my "Ultimate Long Range AR" over the next few days and am going to document some of the work I'm doing to it. I'll soon post in the "SH Semi-Auto Rifles" section the specs (and goals) of the gun and some...

    Bergara with aftermarket barrel??

A 2 piece firing pin assembly (B14R, Ruger 77/22, etc.) can never have the true accuracy potential of a single pin assembly (40X, Vudoo, etc.) because of the much slower lock time. Just like a Kidd 10/22 compared to a Vudoo, even though the MECHANICAL accuracy (example...action locked in a...

Any chance we could get a sticky thread on the Bergara B-14R?

I sincerely hope they never sticky it. Thieves should never be rewarded, no matter how big or popular they are.

    Bolt not locking

Sounds like your buffer is a little long for the rest of your build. Here's a post that explains proper bolt to mag catch clearance..... https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/10-how-to-ultimate-ar-bolt-catch-overrun.48508/

    Long Runs with CCW

I wear the same holster and belt I wear for EDC, just make sure your workout shorts have belt loops. Anything that flops, bounces or lets the gun move won't work.

    Silencer Central suppressors don't buy

He must have used one of the 9mm to .308 adapter choke bushings, you can get them from guys that print them on their 3d printers. Make sure you only use them on low-pressure pistol rounds, never try them on a .338 Lapua or anything, they might crack after a few hundred rounds...it's kinda hard...

Vudoo Gun Works V-22 Rimfire Bolt Action

Rick, Everyone is chasing such minuscule improvements that without shooting 1,000's, if not 10,000's of rounds, in dozens of "identical" guns, there is no way to prove or disprove any single "improvement". There are just too many variables to know what is doing what. Then when you finished...

Vudoo Gun Works V-22 Rimfire Bolt Action

Very small taters, indeed, BUT many of these small taters may add up to a big tater. No-one knows which one of these minuscule taters really matter. So they try and mash all the taters they possibly can, so maybe they can win all the taters and get their belly full! Taters....What's taters, Mr...

Vudoo Gun Works V-22 Rimfire Bolt Action

Rick, the basics are that a 60 deg sear doesn't JUST hold the cocking piece to the rear...it also puts upward pressure (UN-relaxed) on the bolt at the same time. This "problem" is much more pronounced on a sloppy factory action (IE Rem. 40X) and actually pushes the upper bolt locking lug (2 lug...

Vudoo V-22S Single Shot BR/F-Class Action

Rick, And to further clarify, the "Pin" is the firing pin. The left port just makes it easier/faster for a right handed shooter to single load the ammo, and ejection works out better on that side, also. You may need to shoot fast to catch some changing conditions, and this lets you use both...

Vudoo V-22S Single Shot BR/F-Class Action

Yes, the whole PAS vs. SAP debate is based on a couple of rifle/shooter combinations that have been winning RFBR. Make no mistake, the VERY experienced (top 2%) shooter is more responsible for these wins than the hardware involved, at the level these guys compete. BUT, like every game we play...

Vudoo V-22S Single Shot BR/F-Class Action

Mike, I'm just glad you are going to bring a BR/F-Class rifle to market that doesn't require a degree in black magic (unlike most other high end .22's in this league) to have built by a ".22 specialist" gunsmith (lots of special "secret sauces", most of them). I hope it will bring in MANY new...

Sidearms & Scatterguns 3 gun gear question

Yes, I spend about 6-8 hours polishing internals, drilling ports, slicking/tuning mags and testing on one to get it to run properly, I've done 3 now that are 100% with light loads.

Sidearms & Scatterguns 3 gun gear question

Sell your shotgun and buy a VR-80, then you won't be sprinkling shotgun shells everywhere you run. But seriously, just go to the match with what you have, see if you like it before you spend a bunch of $$$.
