+1 to this... I've always shot bug-holes with good Bolt rifles but until recently couldn't seem to do the same with a Gas gun when the gun was proven accurate by better shooters. I'm better now but you do really have to pay attention to your fundamentals.

I thought tat too at first. But I had a rifle that really stretched the brass at the web because of a bad chamber and the die would always squish (technical term) it back to shape with a shiny rub area there.

I don't recall a sharp edge at the bottom of a re-sizing die. Could it be a problem with the die?

There are more factors at play but conventional wisdom is that free floating is generally better.

I've run 10.8gr. of A1680 under 220gr. SMK's through both an 8.1" AR and a 16" AAC Bolt gun. I chrony'd the 8.1" at about 1030fps. Haven't chrony'd the 16" but with an SDN6 it's Hollywood quiet. You can hear that big 220gr. projectile WHACK the target louder than the report from the muzzle.
