Re: laser Range finders Great, I will check with Camerland and SWFA first.I think a range finder of 1400 to 1600 yards will be fine,as it will fit the limits of my .300 WM rifle.Still leaning towards the Swarovski 8 x 30 model...thanks.
Re: laser Range finders Thanks,Sandrat. I think this is the model I'm going with. The less bells and whislters it has,the better. Again thanks for the support. Is the recticle size too big or covers up the targart at long ranges?
Re: laser Range finders So is the swaro unit simplier to use? Now I am leaning towards this model. But there were some great reports on the CS Tactial Bushnell for $758.00 Info on this,I'm still leaning towards the Swaro 8-30 though. thanks.
Re: laser Range finders Okay, thanks for your reply. Would you consider buying the 1600 model? For $200 more, there is a Swarovski Optik 8-30,when not using the rangefinder mode, can be used as a bino's.
Re: laser Range finders I found a Swarovski Optik Rangefinder Laser Guide 8-30 binoculars for $999.00 Any good? range how far,I could not find specs on range finding, help!
Re: Need advice on longrange cal. If you have a frail body type ,go with the smaller calbiers. Personaly,I use the .300WM,and have no problems with recoil.

Re: Noreen Ultra Long Range Rifles Okay, they say the .50 BMG rifle will shoot small groups at a thousand,I would think this means the barrel they used is on par. I have been looking at Serbu rifles and the East Ridge Gun Company. I'm looking at entry level. I beleive the East Ridge Gun...
Re: Noreen Ultra Long Range Rifles Go to their website. They offer a .338, 408 Chey Tec, .416 Barrent and the .50 BMG. Also ammo,Ive talked to them and they stated that all new parts were used. I know the .408 Chey Tac and the .416 Barret will out shoot the .50 BMG at long range, but buying...

Re: Has anyone tried the new StraightJacket Barrel sys Great reveiw! I think you're right. Train of thought...car and motor bikes guys use the insulated tape wrap around their exhaust pipes to kept the heat in...therefore incraseing or at least maintaining the exhaust velocity gases. So one...
Re: Has anyone tried the new StraightJacket Barrel sys Yeah,I can see it now...a Bat Farm. But it makes me thinks this idea crosses with the Christensen Arms Carbon Wrapped barrels idea. Also there is a graphite/metal matrix gun barrel-Patent 4685236 at www.freepatentsonline.com/4685236.html
An article in the RifleShooter September/October 2010 magazine carry this article. Very interesting, developed by Alan Adolphsen, the concept in a nut shell is to get away from barrel heat and maintance accuracy. By installing an outer shell barrel and pour a patented mix of bat wings and voodoo...

Re: How many rounds is too much in a session?? The thing is for every round fired, you are in control and getting payback from each round fired. Comes to a point where you are shooting for the sake of shooting, time to quit. I 'd rather fired 10 rounds of meanful shots rather than putting 50...
