    Best .223/5.56 soft point/hunting bullet

I've killed loads of hogs with the 62 grain gold dot out of my 11.5". They're my go to, with the 70 grain tsx being a close second.

Is it worth going for a monolithic setup?

Because all of the pressure from that long lever (the handguard) is placed directly onto the thin walls of the reciever which is holding the barrel. If you think about it, how could it not change the point of impact? I've had it happen and can reproduce it so I know its real.

    Tactical/business casual pants

Another vote for vertx. We wear them everyday for practice. I have had 2 pairs for the last 2 years and they still haven't given up.

Does the Tacmod stock require a side charger?

It shouldn't. You can move the cheek piece around. It was designed for a normal AR platform.

New prototype AR-15 buttstock design from R&R Targets

That looks very similar to the tac-mod stock. Except the tac-mod has an adjustable cheek piece....

Check out the tyr tactical lightweight assualters packs. They hold everything you need and aren't too big.

    Match style info

I like the idea! Matches that average a 50% hit rate for the winners is not only frustrating, they can be very discouraging to people. To the point that they won't come back. Like going to the range and not being able to shoot half the time! And in the end, the best shooter will always win.

Most adjustable butt stock? (Not PRS)

The tac-mod buttstock is very adjustable. Length of pull, cheek piece, cant. Only thing is once you are it up, you lock everything down. Not quick to adjust.

Kestrel 4500 and Crosswind Headwind function

I've used the crosswind function quite a bit and it works really well. Mainly in areas I have never shot with winds over 10 mph. Being from GA, anything over 10 mph is a guess for me anyway so it helps to at least get close.

    Perfect Rifle For PRS

Ok, so we can tell some people like the mags, some don't. I like the aics mags personally. So far I'm looking at surgeon or badger action, a 26" medium Palma kreiger in 243. I already have a leupold 3-18 so I will probably use that. I HAVE a couple chassis and they are comfortable for me. Should...

    Perfect Rifle For PRS

I ask because I have very limited experience with any custom actions. If getting a custom action is an advantage over a 700, I would like to know before I start putting together a rifle. Thanks for all the replies so far.

    Perfect Rifle For PRS

Will I be at a disadvantage having a trued 700 action? Is there really a big advantage going with one action over the other?

    Perfect Rifle For PRS

Do most people run compensators on their rifles? If not why? And if so, which one is the favorite?

    Perfect Rifle For PRS

If you could build the perfect rifle strictly for shooting the PRS matches, what would you build? Barrel contour, stock/chassis, trigger, scope, rings, ect....

    Night Vision Night hunting question

So I have a lot of pigs and coyotes around here. Usually the farthest shot I get is about 100 yds. I already have a pvs-14. My question is, what is a better option, getting an ir laser, or a dedicated nv scope? Thanks in advance.
