Good choice. I have been shooting the 5 x 25 for a little over a year. 90% of the time I shoot it at around 15x as I feel it gives me the best field of view. The 10% I need the extra mag is were the Steiner shines. Nothing like zooming in on a small piece of steel that some match directors...

I use the cleats in sand and they work a lot better than the rubber feet. They will keep you from sinking in too far. I shoot in those exact conditions at least once a month. Dino
