Re: Sako TRG 22 with 5 Color Urban Flecktarn UK In the UK we are ok with Bolt action & straight pull in almost any calibre on ranges where you can shoot them. No semi-auto unless 22rf calibre. No fully auto period! Gallery rifles ok, old military, black powder, as for pistols they must be...

Re: IOR 9-36x56mm 35mm SF Tactical Scope users ? Guys, Thanks for all your comments so far - I've been in touch with the local vendor for IOR - Border Barrels in Scotland who are extremely reputable and highly regarded. The chap there rates them, in fact I think that's the only glass they...

Rifle Scopes does paint on your scope kill the resale?

Re: does paint on your scope kill the resale? I purchased a brand new TRG & Nightforce, both expensive, first thing I did was paint the whole setup! Main reason - existing colors didn't ring my bell & makes the rig unique! Both would go as a unit if sold not that I am.....

Rifle Scopes IOR Scopes any good feedback please ?

Guys, Looking for a new scope for new rifle - something different to the Nightforce models / Weaver T36 which I already own. Was looking at the IOR 9-36x56mm 35mm SF Tactical Scope. The IOR Valdada website doesn't inspire confidence - Also a bit worried about the PO Box number. Are these...

    Photos 700 SPS Tactical

Re: 700 SPS Tactical You should be able to get better groups - all to do with trying different loads..... My rifle hates Varget, just won't shoot it at all! It totally loves Vihtavouri N150 with 155 Scenars & N140 with Berger 185 VLDS. It's amazing how long it can take to find the best load.

    7mm WSM

Re: 7mm WSM Great caliber for long range, pity it's a barrel burner! To stay competitive you may only get two seasons before the barrel needs replaced.

    Savage F class

Re: Savage F class Guys, I purchased the Savage Model 12 in 6mmBR and have just run the barrel in. So far I've only tested it at 100 yards using factory Lapua Match Ammo which gave the same results as my handloads which was around 0.5 MOA. I'm hoping the groups improve when I get more lead...

    most accruate factory 22lr

Re: most accurate factory 22lr Well I did a lot of research before making my mind up and went for the Anschutz MPR 64 (Multi-purpose rifle) I have a weaver T36 fixed power scope and is very accurate BUT.... very dissapointed with the rifle. I had feeding problems from day one were the bullet...

Photos Sako TRG 22 with 5 Color Urban Flecktarn UK

Re: Sako TRG 22 with 5 Color Urban Flecktarn UK The sound suppressor is a New Zealand made PES-T12. It is semi-strippable so easy to clean and is stainless steel so should last. The 12 baffles make it much easier on the ear and for fellow shooters who don't like my brake on. I have done...

Photos Sako TRG 22 with 5 Color Urban Flecktarn UK

Re: Sako TRG 22 with 5 Color Urban Flecktarn UK I looked into this before getting the job done on the rifle... I think it's actually 600 degrees according to Duracoat but your unlikely to reach this temp with a bolt action rifle during normal course of fire..... but yes, the metal on the...

Re: Sako TRG 22 with 5 Color Urban Flecktarn UK Eddie, Waynne at NWCP charged £300 all in ... sounds expensive but for that he did the following: Full degrease - to get rid of all signs of gun oil Full stripdown & prep for 5 colour stencil I've got everything coated, even the TRG scope...

Photos Sako TRG 22 with 5 Color Urban Flecktarn UK

Re: Sako TRG 22 with 5 Color Urban Flecktarn UK Unfortunatley our friends at Sako tend to pull our pants down on the price of the adjustable folding stock option as the metal work on the whole rifle has phosphatized finish and a bit more weight - adds a much higher price tag to the...

    .357 Powder

Re: .357 Powder Note too sure if you guys can get this powder over in the States but here in the UK I use: vihtavuori N350 for .357 loads. Just loves the Marlin Cowboy leaver action. I tried Bullseye, 2400, bluedot etc.... but nothing compared to this powder!

Cost me a small fortune this .308 rig but worth every penny! The Nightforce 12x42 really compliments the rifle. PES T12 Moderator is as quiet as they get Just loves to shoot the Berger 185 VLD'S - true sub 0.5 MOA - Sako use a 1:11 twist.
