Re: Possible Charity Shoot I hope they have already given the funds to the family. We've postponed this thing so many times its beginning to lose interest to some of the shooters. They announced at Graham shoot last Saturday that it was going to be May 9th. I'm in either way.
Re: flip-up scope lens covers butler creek..if you are shooting Leupold they have some nice ones in their Alumina line. They are all aluminum but are kinda pricey.
Re: Wondering about Max cal size for hunting. what? ya'll speak up...can't hear ya. lol Amen on the protection. I ignored it and now pay for it. I wear the amped protectors just so I can hear!

Re: 6.5mm 130 Hunting VLD's for elk Shot placement is the key with any bullet. I've shot 130 partitions for years and have never had a problem. Just kept my shots under 300yds.
Re: Accubond or partition for elk I tried the Berger VLD hunting last season with great success. I was shooting the 210 out of a 300 rum though. Made a drop dead kill at 997 yards. Bullet had tremendous expansion even at that distance.
Re: Anyone have a 300 RUM pet load??? Thanks for the tips everyone...I'll get on the bench and see what happens. I'll post back how it comes out. Thanks again!! Weldon
Hello, Looking for a hunting load for a 300 RUM. Been playing with 180 Nosler Partitions with no luck on groups. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Weldon
