    Is there a minimum, maximum standard? One of my rifles the pin only protrudes .029, (Factory set-up). If you subtract the primer seating depth,(.007) the net protrusion is .022. Seems short to me. All my others protrude .048 to .050. I just had a missfire on the one with .029 protrusion and...

    meplat trim & bullet tipping

    Re: meplat trim & bullet tipping I metplat trim then re-drill the hollow point opening leaving a thin edge around the HP. Then sort by weight and OG to base. For me this has helped reduce group sizes at all ranges 100 to 1000 yds 700P-.308--175 Gn. SMK--2633 FPS
