    Negative, on the live fire. But. I definitely plan to. Also need to check feeding. That being said, the bolt heads (which are OEM) are responsible for picking up the rounds and handling the forces. Therefore, I don't expect any issues. Let me know if there is anything I'm missing.

    Carved out a little time to work on this project over the weekend. After some final machining, I was able to test the fit in my receiver with good results. Tested with .338LM and .300WM bolt heads with their respective barrels mounted. Just have the metal prep to finish, then off to coating...

    Update: I was able to time the bolt handles. Had to rework the fixture, but got the result I needed. I tested a complete bolt assembly in the receiver, looked good. Added a magazine and I identified an additional feature that will need adjustment. That should hopefully be the last milling...

    I got a chance to complete a critical step. The locating pins were successfully located and seated! Blended in nicely with the outer surface. I checked these with a couple bolt heads and everything lined up. I also finished the fixture to adjust the bolt handles for proper timing, but ran out...

    It's coming along. Work seems to get in the way, as it does for all of us. I've carved out some time at the end of this month. I expect to get the locating pins set and metal prepped. Need to decide on a place for DLC coating.
