Looking for extractor c-spring for Savage Mark IIg

Call Savage. Mine wore out and I called Savage. After I explained what was going on, they just sent me the spring, extractor and the other extractor-looking thing for free.

    What Not to Do.

If you accidentally seat a primer backwards, don't use the sizing die/decapping pin to push it out. It will go off and it's really loud.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Hiking With A Pistol

I use a paddle holster, usually a serpa. I clip the paddle on the padded waist belt of my pack. It is really comfortable and right in the same location on my body as it always is.

    varget

After checking all the shops around here at least twice a week, I finally got two pounds of varget this week. They had three pounds on the shelf but there was a max purchase of two per customer.

Range Report 45-70 behaviors... anyone out there expreienced?

Re: 45-70 behaviors... anyone out there expreienced? I had an 1895 45-70 about five years ago. I shot Hornady 350gr. jacketed flat points. The harder I pushed them, the better the groups. If I backed off, the groups fell apart. I tried some 405 hard cast. Same story. I finally traded...

    .308 dies

Re: .308 dies I have always used Hornady dies but during the big scare a couple years ago, I couldn't get ANY 308 dies. I found a set of Lee collet dies eventually. I have been absolutely happy with them. I only shoot my brass through one rifle and just neck size them with the collet die...

Re: Savage TR Minute of Bug Accuracy Excellent! I had the exact same thing happen a few days ago. Mine is a Savage MKII BV. Shooting CCI Standard velocity. Target was at 50 yards. Picture sucks because my phone sucks.

    Suppressors Smith 642 snubbie. Ammo?

Re: Smith 642 snubbie. Ammo? I have a 442 and I love it. I have it loaded with Gold dot short barrel 38 +P. I got an Uncle Mikes pocket holster (size 3, I think) and it is working fine for a $10 holster.

    Your wife

Re: Your wife You know what? It's nice to see a good portion of you guys being honest with they wifeys about where the money goes. It is really encouraging to me. I don't hide any money from my wife but that's not too hard since I don't make too much. On the other hand, I get a new gun as...

    .38/.357 Reloading

Re: .38/.357 Reloading I have reloaded lots of 357 and 38. I really like shooting medium velocity 38s in a 357 revolver. I don't have any great recipes off the top of my head but I have found that loading for a revolver is very easy. I crimp mine just to make dang sure that the bullets...

Hey SAVAGE MKII owners! help me!

Re: Hey SAVAGE MKII owners! help me! I had an FV but I wasn't happy with the tupperware stock. Mostly the shape, not so much the weight. This time around I got the BV. I like the stock. I painted mine tan. I just made this 1/8" thick aluminum bottom metal. It uses the unused third action...

    New Toy: Savage TRSR

Re: New Toy: Savage TRSR Could you take a picture of the bottom metal? My MKII BV has a boss on the bottom of the action that doesn't have an action screw. It could have three action screws (mine does now) but it only comes with two. I am wondering if the tactical models use the third...
