Re: Powder measuring? I see no one uses the Lyman. Around Christmas a local sporting goods store had one for $125. I'm not sure if it was on sale, or mismarked. Didn't buy it at the time. Am now kicking myself as when I went back to get it, it was $256. Doh.

How do most of you guys measure your powder for your favorite loads? I'm using a balance beam and trickler. Slower than the second coming of the Lord. I know of at least three automatic, digital loaders...Lyman, RCBS, and Hornady. But the reviews on them are mixed. I read where they drift...

Just curious as to other folks ideas. Do you shoot 5 shot groups? Three shot? Ten shot? How long between shots do you wait? Or do you just keep firing until you get you X number of rounds fired? Thanks.

Yesterday I went to my 100 yard range with 5 different loads using Lapua 139 moly. 41.5 of Ramshot Hunter shot the best with a .75 group. A couple pics of the range included. I'll be loading up some more loads this weekend for the next session. [/img] [/img] [/img] The red writing...

Well I finally pulled the trigger and bought a Sako model 85 in 260 Remington. Yeah, I know, it's not ubber tacticool, but it's a starting point. I got a good deal on it and it has a hair under 23" of barrel in 1/8 twist. I found a couple boxes of ammo online and got the glass close...

Re: Single Action Sixgun - What ya'lls got? I've got a Colt as pictured by 308Sako but mines in 44 Special. Also have a stainless Super Blackhawk in 44 mag. Oh, and a Colt New Frontier in .22/22 mag.
