    First can

My SAS (Arbiter MX 30 cal) cans do shoot well but when i tried to call them before the purchase they never responded to my two voice mails i left them. Also these cans do have a huge difference in POI between the two to a tune of several inches off at 100 yds, cans have sequential SN's. Brought...

300 Blackout Bolt Gun SBR Loads

My (Sierra 2180) 220 RN load shot better than the 220 SMK's; 9.5gr h110, 7.8SD, 996 fps Didn't take these past 100 yds. All of my loads seem to tighten up a little bit after annealing the cases. Using Hornady 300 BO brass, 5th firing on cases All loads with 190 Sub-X didn't shoot well enough...

Bipods - worth the extra money?

One thing nobody seems to have touched on is the bipod height. Not sure if this is relevant to your type of shooting. I started with harris friction lock 6-9" bipods, switched to swivel/notched legs with pod loc when they came out. I got used to the height of the Harris bipod when shooting off...

    STEYR SSG69 QUESTIONS

Bingo Carcajou, you are correct, the iron sights are the items Steyr added to my rifle. Very interesting to know that your P2 has them also. From what Iner told me mid-90's the two in my area were the only ones that had them as Steyr never made them for the P2 due to the heavier barrel. Yes my...

    STEYR SSG69 QUESTIONS

Very cool pics @TorF! Hopefully you can shed some light on the triggers that were available. From my memory there were actually 3 trigger groups available, Single stage/single trigger, Double set, & possible the third was a two stage single trigger. I remember that there was something about the...

    STEYR SSG69 QUESTIONS

As stated earlier, you have an SSG 69 P1 version with wood stock. Make sure you list the reticle in your your ZFM when you go to sell it. Some data on the SSG series rifles: P1 with butter knife bolt handle, iron sights standard, skinny barrel (650mm length) P2 with teardrop bolt handle...

    Automatic Decapping Machine

Don't think you could use a mandrel die. It uses a "special" FW Arms decapping die made for the rollsizer decapping machine. You need to use the small decapping pins for it. You will need a bicycle grease pump to grease the linkage. Already decapped about 3/4 of a windshield washer jug with mine...

    Automatic Decapping Machine

I bought the one from Rollsizer, works great! You will need drop tubes & a pack of spare decapping pins. I bought the creedmore sports amp annealer stand kit to mount my dillon case feeder. Also bought the rollsizer from them. Great company to work with!

    Suppressors School me on suppressors

If you have a skinny ass barrel, then certainly go brake mount so there is enough meat to secure the can. The smallest muzzle OD i have is 0.9" on any of my precision rifles so direct or brake doesn't matter. Look at the specs on TB's website for rating on their cans & if in doubt call them...

    Suppressors School me on suppressors

The SR cans are brake mount & i see no difference in inherent accuracy in them versus the direct thread TB cans i have. I haven't reworked any of my loads for w/can vs no can but you should test yours. You will see a POI shift with the can on but they have always been minimal & consistent with...

    Suppressors School me on suppressors

I can tell you my 338 Ultra SR has been accurate to 1620 yds on my 300NM. Have several of TB cans & never had an accuracy issue. tried the 338 can on a few other rifles with their SR brake & no accuracy issues. Have other cans from TB that are direct thread no accuracy issues. Have 2 Dominus SR...

~28xx fps with a 6mm creedmoor, yeah or neh?

I think the big reason why bbl # 1's throat wore out was due to excessive amount of the bn coating on the dtac bullets i used for it or maybe the bn coating itself. There was enough coating to scratch my redding dies. After i noticed this on the dies & after i sent them to redding to get fixed...

~28xx fps with a 6mm creedmoor, yeah or neh?

Sorry no data on a 6mm CM but i have run 5,194 rnds through my 6XC. bbl #1 @ 2468, bbl #2 @ 2,497, bbl #3 @ 229 all Bartlein 7.5tw 5r all 115 dtacs with a few 107 smk's used on bbl #1 bbl #1 still has some life left even though the throat is worn, about 1" jump to lands mostly BN coated tips...
