I just happen to learn the Volquartsen took over the PWS Summit. I was a bit surprised.. Shows how well I'm keeping up with things. Any case I have a PWS and I probably would recommend getting the Volquartsen unless you want to do some work to get the PWS working fine. I had to sand the bolt a...
My understanding is that if you are using DA, and temperature.. the temperature is needed to calculate the speed of sound at a given temperature. I had once asked about DA and temperature and this was what was explained to me.
Since people are posting their image of their PWS.. here's mine. It has a Bell & Carlson Anschutz stock, Kidd trigger, Kidd bull barrel and a SWFA SS 1-6x24 scope. I'm debating whether to put my 5-24x scope on it to shoot out little holes.
Get new rings or modify the rail. I personally prefer my scope close to the rail. If you do raise it, which is totally fine, I would add a stock comb raiser to the stock to keep a good cheek weld and get good sight picture.

I had a older version of Shooter installed on my old android phone. Never updated it until I bought a new phone. So I installed the new version from Google Play and found that the interface was changed. Not a issue until I wanted to use the Muzzle Velocity Tool.. and couldn't find it...
Interesting using the O ring, but I rather polish the mount a little bit to get it to the next lockup tooth. What I would worry about with the O ring is melting point temperature and lockup vs recoil wiggle. Plus fine sandpaper vs a $40 O ring.. sandpaper is cheaper.
One of my friends didn't like the INVG, and steered me towards a TATM that accepted dovetail mounts. I like the Norotos Dual Dovetail adapter since it makes it a breeze to switch the PVS-14 from one eye to the other.
I had a a Leica 1600 that could range a little over 1100 yards. I had a problem with 1200 yards. Switched to a Terrapin sand sold the 1600. The Terrapin is absolutely remarkable and can easily range further than its specs. If you can afford the Terrapin you would be using it forever.. It's...
EBay has some good prices on used genuine mounts. Bid on people who have good feedback and look at photos carefully. I came out ahead using eBay for the dovetail mount.
