I'm looking for a set of 30mm Picatinny type scope rings for my bolt gun. Seems there are many options. What am I looking for in a set of scope rings? What are the differences between the brands?
Is there anything in particular to look for as far a wear is concerned on these lathes? What's fair market value on something like this, if it's in good condition? I know that new ones are around $2900.
I use a 45degree countersink bit in a drill press. Chuck it up, turn it on and just touch the primer pocket to the bit to remove the crimp. I also have the RCBS tool and it sucks.
Thanks. What bottom metal is compatable with AW magazines? I like the idea of snapping the cartridge into the mag before closing the bolt. Seems to be some controversy as to whether or not it's ok to close the bolt on a loose round due to the extractor design.
I have an FN PBR (controlled round feed type) with a hinged floorplate. I'm considering converting it to a CDI or FN removeable magazine setup. Is it possible to load a round into the magazine, while it's installed in the rifle, as is the case with the fixed magazine?
I'm considering a Triad stock pack and am trying to decide between cartridge loops on the inside or the outside. Which do you prefer and why? Rifle is for range use and/or the occasional tactical match.
