    Re: AR15 jamming / Malfunctioning This is the first thing you need to try, load one round in your clip and fire it and see if the bolt locks back. That will tell if it is getting enough gas,and that your buffer spring is not to strong.then come back and tell what is happening

    Re: Velocity between 16" mid length and 16" carbine Are you saying that you will get less gas or more with the mid,,cause I'm thinking that with a carbine you will get more gas ,,because of the amount of time the bullet will remain in the barrel,,compared to the mid being a shorter time. yes-no

    Re: Velocity between 16" mid length and 16" carbine I think that you will get a longer gas pulse with a carbine length with the shorter distance from port to the bolt,where with a middy your port is farther from the bolt,and the cycle won;t be as long with the middy, Does that make sense.

    Re: This is my rifle Yes Soggy you are right,but much harder to cut the angle cuts to match up at the center of the brake.Here is one reason not to do it as you have it with the angles that sharp ...is the amount of noise and concussion from the muzzle blast.No harm in asking though.
