Vihtavuori lists load data for N135 / 69gn SMK and heavier as per link below. That said I’ve only used N140 as it works really well, if you can get hold of some well worth a try. Good luck. https://www.vihtavuori.com/reloading-data/rifle-reloading/?cartridge=7
I bought 500 pieces of Remington brass for my 1/9" twist .223 bolt gun, split it into 4 batches according to weight. Loaded with N140 and 69gr SMK's along with CCI 400's. I've changed to BR4's though as they have a slightly thicker cup and my load is quite hot. I've tried the Lapua cases in the...
Harry also created the Invictus Games which is a worthy achievement. The majority of British public can't understand his transformation and the fact he's left his complete life behind and that he's become hypocritical and woke. Becoming a parent can do funny things but I can't help but feel that...
No. It's nothing but a power grab and lots of noise from the hard left. They lost the argument at the ballot boxes (Brexit over here, Trump in US) so they attempt to take control by taking over the media and social media. These celebs and woke warriors just want to be seen to be progressive and...
I don't have a problem with the Royal Family, on the whole they do a lot of good. One thing they don't do is get embroiled in politics in any way... Having now left as a working Royal, Harry is dancing to Megan's tune and well and truly pissed on his chips by getting involved in this debate...
You're absolutely right, I stand corrected. I have collapsed the odd case years when I started out using the collet die, but this was down to the case neck not entering the neck area of the die properly. A small amount of imperial lube fixes this problem.
Body die and then Lee collet die for me as I figure the body die is going to have some influence on the shoulder and neck area. I always set the collet die in the press so that you use the full stroke of the press, therefore limiting the amount you can squeeze the neck. Push down too hard on a...
Yep, he's bang out of order. Public here in the UK are sad to see what's happened to him and quite frankly glad to get rid of the pair (sorry you've now got to put up with them). Trump pulled an absolute blinder with his comment! “I’m not a fan of hers...I wish a lot of luck to Harry cos he’s...
Brit here 👋 Must admit this is an entertaining thread... You'll find that Brits don't mind having a bit of fun poked at us, just as long as those throwing it can take it? Glass houses and all that. Saw Trump in the paper this morning commenting on Harry and Meghan, he pretty much nails it and...
I use a decapping die (Lee or Redding), 100 cases only takes 10 mins or so. My preference has been to get the brass completely clean before annealing and resizing, in my case body size / neck size. I could probably cut several steps out of my reloading process without seeing a massive difference...
The sound they make makes your hair stand on end. Every now and again they (along with the Lancaster usually) appear in the sky's around us. I was extremely fortunate to be directly under two of them doing a low level pass once.
I've only just recently got a couple of Benchmades and they've quickly become my favourite users. The first is a black Contego and the second is a Griptillian black tanto with tan scales. Great knives.
Mark up a few of the tight cases with a sharpy then chamber - the scratches and rub marks will show you exactly where the problem is. With the body die don't be tempted to go down too far if it is a bulge your trying to get rid of, you'll create excess headspace.
The brass will have expanded down near the the base (near the belt) having been originally fired in a chamber with more generous dimensions than yours. Try a redding body die or you could buy the special collet sizer for belted cases that larry willis makes.
Here in the UK we have certain restrictions on whats allowed and under what circumstances. For my EDC 'legal' carry i.e. I can carry legally without 'good reason' I use the Spyderco UKPK or the Boker XS. For everyday cutting tasks these blades don't give up anything despite their size. However...
