I was issued quite a few over the years and I think I had 1 that worked. Luckily the reticle is so thick, with some ok natural illumination you can pick it up. Probably me just holding on to the looks more than anything.
I might still search out a premier. I don’t know yet. I still have to find a LH Rem 700 action, which seem to be pretty hard to come by these days. So time is on my side to get it figured out.
I didn’t even realize that was an option. https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/s-b-pmii-illumination-knob-removal-and-cap-for-lefties.6493147/ I was trying to find ways around this. I hate to loose the illumination but, not removing my thumbnail every time I work the bolt is a better...
I’m in the process of planning out my LH M40a5ish build. I already have the McMillan USMC spec A4 but in LH. What I’ve been thinking about is if I get a PMII will there be enough space to work the bolt without crushing my thumb on on the illumination knob? Does anyone have experience running a...
This looks great, I had all but given up on the idea of putting together a XM-3 clone. Maybe not anymore. @LongRifles Inc. Can you do the clip slot cut on a left hand 700 receiver?
A very hot miserable person that is being reminded of all his bad life choices he made to put him in his current state of misery. A cobra hood over a frog top with ghillie bottoms is much cooler. I used my bottoms on patrol all the time, I just took the jute off them.
Has anybody tried the 208s with 2000mr? I'd like to give it a shot. My 208 load with 44gr of re17 seemed to have a good bit of crunch to it when seating the bullets. I can't increase the coal because I feed from a mag.
I'm tracking on the jae locking the receiver into the stock, they are tanks and that is a pretty smart design. I always wondered what increased the weapons accuracy more on the jae, the receiver being locked down into the stock or the barrel tensioner being attached to a super rigid aluminum...
Why does everyone say it is a pain to mount a scope on the m1a? It's a simple process. Get a good mount and a cheek rest, mount scope. I don't see what the issue is. Using my basset mount and that made it pretty pain free.
If you want an m1a because you like it buy one. I love mine. It doesn't shoot 1 ragged hole groups but I didnt expect it to. They can be made to be pretty accurate but it is not cheap. I would say get a loaded model it's probably the best bang for the buck. My loaded shot about 1.5 moa in a...
