    well she's a keeper. worst group was 1.125, best was just under.625 . POI didn't really change as it heated up but group size did. She sure does need a new trigger . I had forgotten how bad the stock stuff was.

    the elevation change is the likely culprit, along with any temperature variation. Rember higher altitude = less dense air. I recently read an article at 8541tactical on altitude density calculation, was really interesting. might be wrong here but I think for every 1000' of elevation you lose...

    OK, burnt some powder today at the farm. The 69 federal looks really promising . the walmart stuff, that will be a big NO. Going to the range tomorrow .Thinking of doing 5 3 shot groups overall . should also show POI shift as barrel heats up.

    Hopefully will have some range time this tuesday. We will see how she groups, with 55grn Walmart cheap ammo , and 69grn Federal GMM. Also Changed out a few parts. went with a MI Low profile gas block and brownells gas tube , ditched the magwell grip, and borrowed some glass from friend. no bipod...

    don't have a stock yet, thinking of a plain A2 or adjustable one. will have to order one . I might be able to trade the short barrel and pistol buffer for some parts. Im gonna need , stock / buffer set up, Free float tube of some sort, Optics / mount, Trigger group, Bolt

    Re: tubb final finish kit its a remington model 7 in 22 250, has about 3 boxes through it. its awful to clean too, scrub and scrub and always black residue coming out on the patches. Thought about a rebarell to 6mmbr, and still might. just thought I could try the ff kit to see if it would help.
