    Annealing machines

It's not that much faster and requires you to buy different parts for different size cases. The BS annealer is faster due to the duel torches and feeding the cases in by hand is quick and easy no more than you'll actually use the machine. EWP

    Annealing machines

The induction method looks like a good ideal but it's almost impossible to get any consistency with it, the guy in the video is over heating his brass and likely ruining it, you never want the brass to glow orange like in the video. I've had the Bench Source a few years also and love it, the...

    RCBS AR dies....???

I just sold my set of RCBS AR series dies, they are just a plain RCBS SB sizing die with a taper crimp seating die. They are decent dies if your only loading range/plinking ammo, otherwise I suggest you seat and crimp separately and don't use a SB sizing die.

    REDDING Comp Seat Die

Measure your bullets base to ogive and make sure there are not two different lengths of bullets in your box. You can do it with your caliper and comparator or get a bullet sorting tool from Sinclair that will speed up the process.

Dillon 550 toolhead (Whidden Gunworks) ?

I just loaded a batch of 223 ammo on my 550B with a Whidden billet tool head with a Redding Comp seating die(floating with an o-ring between the lock ring and tool head) and the OAL measured at the ogive with a comparator was exactly the same on every round(less than +/-.0005" anyway), my single...

primer tool what do you recommend

I have several priming tools to include the Hornady hand primer, RCBS universal hand primer, Lee round tray hand primer, Lee ram prime, RCBS bench mount auto prime(non-APS), and the 21st Century hand primer that uses the round Lee trays. The 21st Century hand primer is by far the best...

    Blackhawk bipod

Re: Blackhawk bipod The Blackhawk bipod is very well built and much better than the Caldwell bipods that Bass Pro sells and all of the other knock off bipods I have seen to date. I actually prefer the no notched legs because the straight legs are spring return and are more solid extended and...

    Just a Tool Tip

Re: Just a Tool Tip It is a tap handle($2 at Harbor Freight), I'm sure it works well though.

    progressive press

Re: progressive press I have a 550B and a LnL AP, if I had to have just one I would keep the LnL since it does everything the 550 does and then some but both are high quality trouble free machines.

    Lee Auto Prime

Re: Lee Auto Prime The best hand primer tool I have found and use regularly is the 21st Century hand primer. It's super smooth like the Sinclair, the curved lever fits my hand perfect, plenty of leverage for simple thumb operation, and it feeds great from the Lee trays. You have to already...

    Case Annealing

Re: Case Annealing Annealing the case does not deteriorate the surface of the brass, that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. It does cause some surface oxidation but that's removed with a good tumbling and does no permanent damage to the brass. World record holding Bench Rest...

    Case Annealing

Re: Case Annealing Will you see any difference in your groups? probably not unless the brass is so bad already that it's throwing fliers all over the target. Annealing will extend your case life but I'm not a belted Mag shooter so I don't know if it's worth extending the brass life like it...

    how often do you anneal

Re: how often do you anneal I like the Bench Source much better, it's all billet aluminum vs sheet metal and is really a work of art compared to the Giraud. Also the cases standing up keep the base of the case cooler than laying sideways would and the table top acts as a heat sink to keep...

    RCBS Comp Dies?

Re: RCBS Comp Dies? I have four sets of the Type S comp dies and just got my first Forster FL Comp sizing die and as much as I like my Redding dies I love the Forster FL sizing die. As far as the Comp seating dies they are to close to call one better than the other.
