    Accuracy International Picture Thread

I have an AT with the AX stock conversion. This is an after market cheek rest that sits lower than the AI cheek rest and is set as low as it will go. It's a non-issue for me shooting from the left side.

    Should i retire??

This has been a very interesting thread. I used to have three jobs, one full time, one part time and one where I occasionally work for my self. I love being retired, well not completely I still work for my self but that's not working for the man. When you take that next step up the ladder, the...

    Accuracy International Picture Thread

I use the AX-AICS Low Cheek rest sold by Anarchy Outdoors to get lower on the stock. This makes it difficult to use the AX stock sling mount. The AXSR stock has a better location for the Quick detach sling mount and I wanted to duplicate that on my AX stock. Victor Company makes a rear quick...

    True ambi AR15 Lowers

What ever receiver you use try a short throw selector. My favorite is the Battle Arms 45 degree Short Throw. Right or left handed you always knock the safety off with your thumb, when finished straiten your trigger finger and lift up on the selector making it safe. Smooth and easy to do with no...

    The Fix from Q

That chamfer looks great. The way you have cut and blended them together without going deeper makes it appear deeper but it's just a better chamfer. Thanks for sharing your photos. Great work.

    The Fix from Q

It's really hard to tell from photos but your chamfer and my 6.5 look better to me than my factory Q 308 chamfer. Wish I had your knowledge and skill, your work looks beautiful.

This is my Tooley 6.5 barrel. Sorry about the shadows. You can see where the bullets are hitting the chamfer. I'm shooting Hornady ELD bullets but they still leave a mark. My only complaint with the Fix is I wish cycling the bolt was smoother like a Tikka or AI.

    The Fix from Q

I didn't have any issues with feeding as soon as I switched to the Lancer magazines and run the bolt with authority. I wouldn't call it butter smooth but it does work. The 6.5 Tooley barrel looks about the same so maybe yours was not cut properly. I was thinking maybe I could improve mine with...

    The Fix from Q

Wow! That is interesting. This photo is my Q 308 barrel that Dave Tooley used for the barrel extension on my new Tooley 6.5 barrel. You can see the chamfer on this barrel is minor. Do you have any pictures of your barrel after you made the chamfer larger, before you put the extension back on? I...

    The Fix from Q

If you have feeding issues with the Fix rifle first thing to do is purchase the Lancer L7AWM 10 round magazine or the KAC if you can find them. The Lancer mags are about $43.00 but they are worth it. The Pmags simply do not work reliably and should be given to a friend who has a use for them...
