Looks like your last 6 shot group is good to keep. At 2680 fps you are good to 1000 and its easier on the brass, gun, and your shoulder.

What is the distance from the sensors to the BOTTOM of bore? This is important. I set mine to no more than an 1/8" and make sure that it level with the bore. On some rifles I have had to us a piece of 1/16" thick rubber at the front of the mount to level the sensors.

The sensitivity setting is important to get the proper FPS reading for each caliber of projectile. At least that is what I understand from the manual.

Has anyone reset sensitivity numbers for for different bullet profiles and weights? For my 308 I left the setting at default which is 14. For 243 I set it at 8 For 223 I set it at 6 I was going to play with the numbers starting at 14 and go down to the smallest number for each caliber I...

Every bullet has a different ojive dimension where it will contact the lands. A SMK verses a Berger verses a Scenar . I hope I am reading and understanding your post. Using one type of bullet set at a particular base to ojive and then using a different bullet can get you into trouble if you are...

I have the Magneto Speed V2 and have found the MV readings to be so close to actual field data from 100 to 1000 yards that I trust it completely.

Nice shooting and testing. I'm still playing with the 208's. Before Az gets hot enough to fry eggs on a rock I plan on a 1500 yard test.

I have the V2 and found that poi is within 1/2 inch at 500 yds. Hard to tell if it is me or the V2. I have tested the V2 with Pellets on up to 338 lapua and only need to adjust the sensitivity for precise readings. Best 350.00 I have spent in a while.

Another vote for the V2 Magneto Speed. My K31, Rem 700 and Fal show no POI change. Well, maybe less than an inch and this is at 500yds foe testing nodes and it is more than likely me and not the V2. Bryan, what is this New "BRAIN" you speak of? Can the current V2's be upgraded?

Lowlight, Did you set the sensitivity on the MagnetoSpeed for solids. And.........................You really need a wireless cam set up. I can't afford the gas running back and forth at a mile. Great testing.
