    LE Rem 700 .308 LTR

Re: LE Rem 700 .308 LTR I have one of these I got about 6 years ago. The dealer told me it was a special run from Davidson's with the lugs lapped and 40X trigger. Is the 40X supposed to be two stage, or is mine just not adjusted properly?

Movie Theater Surviving the Cut: U.S. Army Sniper on Discovery

Re: Surviving the Cut: U.S. Army Sniper on Discovery Sniper School is about training, not elimination or badge guarding. There's really nothing in the POI, or that the cadre do, to intentionally wash people out. They WANT them to graduate. Currently there is no more harassing, and not a whole...

    Gunsmithing new 5R questions

Re: new 5R questions It's probably not a bad idea to remove some of that finish material between your tang and bedding block. Denatured alcohol will take it off, so will super fine sandpaper. See my post from last winter on synthetic stock prep. You want metal to metal contact between the...

    Rifle Scopes Lefthanded Scope Placement

Re: Lefthanded Scope Placement I am right handed and right eye dominant, but I have a USO with left hand windage on my .260. I can see what the windage knob says with my left eye, and adjust for windage with my non firing hand. I don't have to break my cheek to stock weld to see a right...

Re: Teaching females to shoot handguns Sometimes the hardest part about training someone who doesn't really have an interest is making them WANT to do what you want them to do. If people really want to do something, they do it on their own. So, you gotta find a way to involve the ego or make...

    Gunsmithing Synthetic Stock Prep

Here are some small tricks I learned to prepping a synthetic stock with aluminum bedding block. May be old stuff to some, but I'm sure it'll be new to others. Bottom line is that these things come from the manufacturer with the stock material and the finish gooped over areas where you want metal...
