We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
Timney is probably the best value for your needs in a non-Remington trigger, but don't overlook the Remington (especially with a new spring from Ernie the Gunsmith). Huber is probably the best, but isn't cheap...
I checked out some of the smaller revolvers (the S&W is a great recommendation) and the LCR/LCP, Shield, etc., and ended up with a Sig P238. A nice little .380 that will fit in my pocket. Renting a few and seeing what she likes is also a great idea, John
Yep, it serves many professionals just fine, and doesn't come with some of the headaches a heavily-used US machine often does. Don't forget to budget for tooling, fixtures, measuring equiment, etc. as part of your overall budget - that stuff adds up fast.
There was a lesbian couple that used to go to the same gym I did, late at night when it wasn't so busy. We had similar workout routines, and I got to know them a little bit over time. I let them know I wasn't renewing my gym membership one night, and later that week they said they were sorry...
When you go in for a running shoe fitting, bring an old (worn) pair of your running shoes with you - this will help them determine the best shoe for you. I've worn many of the shoes mentioned here, but my latest shoes have been Saucony Grid or Triumph.
My S&W 41 doesn't misfire, but I'd look at a Buckmark or a Ruger Mark II if I decided changing to a more reliable handgun was the answer. With the 41, I might try some different ammo before ditching it.
This seems to be the general consensus. His positions on things like 9/11 and various other conspiracy theories have made most people lose interest in anything he has to say. He was actually a surprisingly good governor, but that almost seems like a different person from who he is today.
It's a little more than this. Ventura's speaking engagements and other sources of income were decimated after the Chris Kyle allegations identified Ventura. The damages awarded in the suit reflect this, and are not arbitrary. Chris Kyle was sued a year before his death, and refused to answer...
The idea with cryogenic treatment is that it relieves stress in the metal. Typically, the barrel is heated after being brought to cryogenic temperatures, and the stress relief is measurable.
Yep, Belzona 1111 appears the most suitable of their products for bedding. They say shrinkage is less than .025%, which is pretty remarkable (Devcon 10110 is .06%, which is still great). Compressive strength and hardness also beat Devcon, although I think both are plenty strong for rifle...
Frank - thanks for sharing all the info lately. I'm curious about the machines you use - are they all custom machines, or is somebody still producing cut rifling machines commercially? Looks like a pretty nice setup. John
Your best bet is to call your local small claims court clerk and ask for information on how to prepare a filing, and whether you can file there. They will be in the best position to describe the rules regarding whether/how you can sue someone out-of-state by filing a lawsuit in Texas (e.g...
Also, the "Add $50" type pricing is pretty non-intuitive, and will drive people away. Would be far better to put the actual price for each quantity offered.
I think Chris's recommendations are good ones. If I wanted one today, I would start with this: http://megaarms.com/maten/receiver-sets/billet-upper-lower-sets/mkm-keymod-upper-ambi-lower-set/ John
It would be interesting to have a forum posting rule that wouldn't allow a user to post twice to the same thread unless another user had made an intervening post...
I turned a bunch of old LC cases into 6.5 creedmoor last year, and used the Forster trimmer with a cordless screwdriver attachment to trim necks. Went fast enough I'd do it again, but it helped to have a TV nearby. None of the other operations were anything too out of the ordinary, although I...
