I like all three, but would choose the 6.5 Creedmoor in the short action. Seems like the 6.5 Creedmoor is a little easier to tune than the .260 and the Hornady ammo is readily available. I would choose the 6.5 Creedmoor.
Out of curiosity I checked out the link and there is a major bit of misinformation provided there...........the thread pitch for the pistol grip screw is 1/4-28" not the 1/4"-20 listed. Lots of junkyard not much genius......
I've got the Spectre II and am well pleased. Shooting it on a 22/45 Lite there is no first round pop and it seems very quiet. The Gemtech subsonic is very impressive. I bought it because of the caliber versatility and don't mind the extra weight. I am soon going to thread my Anschutz .17HMR an...
Glad you got the forward assist figured out. On the topic of the castle nut.....try the Hammerhead Rifle Tool when removing or installing the receiver extension lock ring(castle nut). I've been using this tool for awhile and it works really well. -Len
Re: Your favorite Muzzle Brake, and why? My vote is for the OPS R3E2C brake. I have installed them on many builds and am well satisfied with their performance. I have fitted them to many bore diameters from .264 up to .338... The lack of muzzle movement and recoil reduction is impressive. -Len

Re: GAP & APA tac rifles go to a Benchrest comp. Jon, Great shooting with that 7WSM! It was good meeting you and Brad. We had a great time and look forward to the next time. -Len
Re: Brux barrel's Brux makes a great barrel. I've been using them and my customers that have opted for them have been well pleased. The barrels machine well and shoot lights out. -Len
Re: Drill barrel blank for gas ports I hope that this reply isn't off topic. First, Let me say that I agree with Toolmakr regarding the placement of the gas port into the bore. Enough said, moving on... A large portion of the work that I do is centered around the AR platform. I drill all...
