Re: Barrel blew apart. yeah, looks like the arbor was still in there. There is a pic of a savage blown up like this on the 'net and the arbor was what caused it.

Re: .308 can and load question I use the same load with the can as I do without it. Subsonic from a rifle cartridge like 308 seems silly to me...
