300 WIN, Mag primers, IMR-7828SSC and 190 Bergers?

Well, after much waiting, I finally got to try it. I'm shooting 74 grains and getting AMAZING accuracy. 1/4" which is about as good as I can shoot. the faster I pushed it the more my groups opened up. that is with 190 Bergers and an 11 twist Rock Creek barrel, so work up carefully. I'm getting...

I need a name for a rifle action company. Help me and win.

November Echo(NE) or Night Echo(NE again). great nod to your home state. beats the hell outa Husker. I think Night Echo with cool font would be nice. Or, just Night and model could be Echo(short) Eagle(long) Extreme(Mag) all making NE. yup...your welcome. Nimrod

300 WIN, Mag primers, IMR-7828SSC and 190 Bergers?

As the title says, I'm looking for loads, expected velocity for this combo. I can't find the whole combo, has anyone tried this combo? I had a load with RL-22, but unfortunately could not find that, but could find 7828. Also, is 7828 a consistent powder? Any help would be appreciated. Nimrod12

    300 Win Mag Bucket Rifle

I had a custom winmag built a couple years ago. Remmy action, 1-11" twist 28" rock creek, Manners T2....shoots amazing. Young's guns did the work for me out of sand coulee MT, and i'd highly recommend them. Couple things to bring up. Right now there is a custom action maker out of Gillette WY...

Talk me out of BSA Sweet 22

another one to consider, I've got a Mueller APT on my Remington 504. Turrets are trackable. Mil-dot's are good. optics are good. $168 shipped. For a rimfire they're great. I've got mine in burris signature rings and it's a solid combo. Seriously look at them, and the folks at Rimfire central...

Hunting & Fishing Ordered the gun, now I need a scope! What are your favorites!

I have the Vortex Viper HS(4-16x50) and the PST(6-24x50). That HS for the money is a great scope....I like it as good as any scope I've used, and the turrets are adjustable and repeatable. My vote Nimrod

F T/R Competition Which Trigger?? CG, Jewel, Timney

Chris up at Young's threw a Shilen in mine, and I love that thing. He uses Jewel all the time, and he said that he was VERY surprised with how it felt compared to a Jewel. They are of the same design, but the Shilen was $92......DEFINATELY worth the price.....my .02 Nimrod

$2000 - .300 Win Build - Rifle Only - How would you spend my money?!?!?

This is my 300 win mag. cost in the gun was about $2250, but then sold my old parts bringing it real close to $2k. I had a 25-06 built out of a tikka 695 action with a Mcmillan stock and a Shilen select match barrel. it was about 1500-1600. Randy's custom guns did the smithing, and I got it back...

$2000 - .300 Win Build - Rifle Only - How would you spend my money?!?!?

I would buy a used Remington 700 BDL long action(should find one for $400-$450) Order a PTG bolt with mag face and Sako Extractor($225-$300 depending on flavor). Then hop over to bugholes.com. he has a 10 twist Krieger Remington varmint barrel for $315. If you want a Mcmillan stock, head over to...

    The new toy!

I've had this back for a while, but haven't had much of a chance to get some pics together. All the work was done by Smokin99 on here and I couldn't be happier. Great guy to work with, and really cares about his work. This is my first magnum, as I've always shot .270 or smaller, and so it's...

    New product idea.

Re: New product idea. In concept they're similar, however this hyperlink is the first time i've seen the accushot so it's in no way a copy or evolution of the product. My idea has double the adjustment, and a different mounting system involved. and it will be a LOT less bulky. Also, the...
