    Re: .17HMR and barrel length... Had a CZ hmr that was 16.5. It shot great, and was a great rifle to walk fields with. I see no reason to not cut it. It's your rifle, and if you like shorter guns, go for it.

    Re: First post...Info overload!!! First bolt gun! I have had mine for 4 weeks. The cheek piece was a must for me. Put it on while I was saving for a new stock. Ended up with a mcree. I have hit steel 12x12 targets out to 1k with plans to go farther.

    Re: Can I get by using a fixed 10x scope for hunting? Why not just buy a cheaper scope for hunting? Its not hard to rezero a rifle. Pick up a 2-7 or something along those lines, and call it a day.
