    Suppressors What's your thoughts on using a gemtech g5(5.56) for a 6.5creedmoor(.264)

What are you willing to bet there is a giant, bold-print warning in the manual advising you not to do this?

    Competitions and Rifle Cleaning

I shoot suppressed and usually go a few hundred rounds between cleanings with no problems. I use a brake-attached suppressor, so when I do clean I just clean the brake and don't touch the crown.

    Suppressors .308 Best Suppressor

Re: .308 Best Suppressor I use an AAC 762-sdn-6 and am happy with it. I like the quick detach option and the fact that AAC makes adapters in both 5/8x24 1/2x28, it lets me use it on my ar-15 without having to buy a separate suppressor. ...although, once you buy one it probably won't be...

    Savage LRP???

Re: Savage LRP??? My father has one in .243, and loves it. We've shot steel out to 1000 yards with it, and it's spot on. It's very similar to my LRPV, except it's not stainless and has the detachable box magazine. Weight and balance is pretty much identical to the LRPV. I'd buy one in a...

    Berger VLD mis-shapen tips

Re: Berger VLD mis-shapen tips I shoot Berger VLD's in my 223 and 260, and the tips are like you describe. I don't think you will have any problems with them. My groups do open up a little starting around 400 yard, but I think that's me and my lousy wind calls. Still, the Bergers shoot MOA...

Which way to go: 700 SPS Tac or 700 SPS Varmint

Re: Which way to go: 700 SPS Tac or 700 SPS Varmint I wasn't impressed with the Hogue on the SPS Tactical. If you shoot of the bipod, the stock will flex enough to make contact with the barrel. I have an FN PBR that has a Hogue, but the stock is reinforced so there is no contact with the...

WOW @ Savage....coming to bat big time!

Re: WOW @ Savage....coming to bat big time! I also picked up the LRPV in 223 with the 1:7 twist. It's quickly becoming my favorite rifle. It's sub-moa out of the box, not picky about what you feed it, and easier on the wallet for practice. Hoping to take it out groundhog hunting soon. My...
