I want a Pistol that I have to manhandle. like I said I have that .44 mag which I was hoping would give me a good kick but sadly the size of the Raging Bull absorbs all the recoil. The only thing is I don't want to shy away from shooting it because its too powerful. I don't think I should have...
Well I have a couple intended uses for it. One is definitely just to own one of the most powerful handguns. I really want a handgun that will punch real hard. That was the intent with my .44 mag but it turned out to be a bust when the weight canceled out the kick. I want it to be a showpiece as...
RollingThunder51, I guess when I said it was too big I sort of misspoke... my .44 mag has too much mass to it and it shoots like a .22. I now want somthing that will really rock my world sort of speak. Thank you for the link as well... somehow I overlooked it.
Well right now I have a .44 mag Raging bull and its just too big and I am not a huge fan of double action. Gary Reeder really hit the nail on the head with his two revolvers except I refuse to pay $2500 for a SAA. Magnum research actually has one that is close but it is chambered in JRH not S&W.
I have been trying to find a SAA in .500 S&W. I know that Gary Reeder makes two excellent looking ones but he is asking $2,500 which I believe to be outrageously high. Has anyone seen any others that I have not found? I am attempting to attach two pictures that I found from Gary Reeder.
I have the DiamondBack .380 and it jams quite a bit. Had to pay out the ass to send it in and would not get reimbursed, although they did give me a free magazine. It came back and still jams on me. I am hoping that the more I shoot it the more it gets broke in.
Kershaw knives are pretty decent but not quite what I'm looking for, They specialize in folders and such. I do however like the ripcord but its against the law for me to have it within my gov work areas so... it will not work.
I carry a Diamondback .380 in my back pocket when I want to cut down on weight from my .45. It works fairly well, things I've thought about though is while I'm seated it may be a weird draw. Also if you have a larger frame pistol it could be awkward to sit on.
Also USAREC REG 600-25 2-6 A (4) says Knives with a switch blade, automatic opener, or blade longer than 4 inches; hence the reason I am looking for a defensive knife under 4 inches.
Re: Defensive Knife for Gov Employee Well if that was the case I would just throw my .45 on my hip. The point is I want to stay within the regs. Honesty, loyalty, and integrity are pretty big in my book. Doing the right thing when nobody is looking is hard to come by these days and its a shame.
Re: Defensive Knife for Gov Employee So far what I have gathered from all the suggestions is, I want a fixed blade in the style that W54/XM-388 showed a few posts back. I am thinking that I want to conceal it in my waistband as well.
Re: Defensive Knife for Gov Employee I do not think there are any restrictions for double edge knives... however I am going to Missouri area and have not looked up their laws yet. There are absolutely no weapons allowed in the office nor the gov vehicle, by the regulation any knife under 4"...
