Good and cheap are mutually exclusive terms. If your not paying the highest price possible you are getting worthless junk and your groups will be worse than a hungover Fudd's who just drank a gallon of coffee and is wearing choppers. But once (at the highest possible price), cry once. Seriously...
According to the guys at CDI the bottom metal and the AI mags work fine with the Master Sporter stock. As soon as I get done with a current project I'm ordering the bm and mags for my rifle.
I've got a bunch from Big Dog and Bobcat. Steel from both companies has held up excellent, many of the pieces are 3+ years old and some have taken well over a thousand rounds.
I have a Savage Striker .260 with a 14" barrel - it's pretty damn loud. It's getting re-barreled right now - 16" and threaded so I can run a can on it.
Top - thanks for the link. I've done a bit of research, but I haven't heard of that forum. I'm stoked to get this rig up and running. I cleaned up the trigger last summer and it's fun like it is, but a rifle scope, Bartlien bbl and suppressor should be pretty mind-blowing.
OK - so it's not a rifle, but it is bolt action so close enough. I'm finally getting around to getting this Striker project going. Got a stock Savage Striker chambered in .260 Rem and a Bartlien 6.5mm 1 in 8 5r blank. Gonna have it chambered for .260 Rem but I'm undecided as to where to cut the...
I don't care if that moose was 2 seconds away from keeling over, that warden is bad ass. I take off after bears because I think they're interesting animals. I wrestle bull mastiffs to vaccinate them. People are always telling me I need to be more careful - that I'm gonna get seriously hurt...
Re: Tikka T3 Info please I'd reconsider the 24" (it's actually about 23 3/4"). I've got a Master Sporter (the T3 Sporter's ancestor) chambered in .260 with a standard target contoured Bartlien barrel (heavier contout than the stock barrel) and use a suppressor - it's really not that unwieldy...

Re: Subsonic 260 rem Loads? Necked-down Remington 7mm08 brass (had it laying around and didn't want to use my Lapua brass on something that's probably not gonna make much difference) Hornady 160gr Interlock RN bullet 10.5gr Trailboss CCI Large Rifle Magnum primers 2.845" COAL in a...
Re: Recommend a good thigh holster I've got a 6004. It stays put. Granted, I have it set up so it rides pretty high - high enough that I only run the bottom leg strap.
Re: Does Anyone Their Suppressor on... Always?.... I've never had any POI shifts between sessions. I never shoot the rilfes I have set up for suppressed without a suppressor, but I do have zeros and separate ballistics charts for non-suppressed just in case. This is with QD mounts, not threaded.
Re: wow, what a sweet Schmidt Rubin Swiss K31 I've had a K-31 for three years and still haven't come up with a load to match GP-11. K-31's are rad rifles. I used to think I sucked with irons before I got mine. Longest I've reached with mine is 600 meters, but I've found the sight to be dead...
