    The newer versions with the bigger eye piece are a little better, but still not great. I always thought they would be best if used on a Dummy Rifle Stock on your tripod. That way you can stabilize your head behind it and be more comfortable and less fatigued.

    USO's dont last long in the classifieds. They tend to get snatched up pretty quick most of the time. Unless it is a super goofy combination of options (result of the endless options USO used to offer before they limited it to only the most popular/practical)

    Out to 400yds? You wont be needing a 24" or 26" barrel for that 20" RRA with 1:8 will get it done for a lot less money. I had the 20" Predator Pursuit and should have never sold it.

    I love my Steiner peregrine 10x44's. My buddy has a nice set of the Vortex's. Not sure which model but they are the high end ones in 12x. Too much mag for me, but they are pretty damn nice.

    Any particular caliber you looking at? If I was doing an AR strictly for p-dogs, it would be in 204, 22-250, or one of the many 6mm offerings that fit in an AR15. I wouldn't even mess with a 223. Though I do love my 6x45 with 75gr V-max's 24" or longer barrel.
