Rifle Scopes What scope are people using in the gas gun matches?

Thanks guys so much. I was concerned about needing a 1x on the low side for this setup. Most of the matches I've read about didn't need the low end, but wanted to see what people have had success with. To be honest, (I'll admit it) I was running a Primary Arms 4-14, on my semi auto, and I can't...

Rifle Scopes What scope are people using in the gas gun matches?

What scopes are people using in the gas gun matches? Looking to shoot a gas gun match next year and I'm looking for scope suggestions. Since I've only done bolt competitions, so you need a scope with lower power? Just curious thanks

    Taming a 16" 308 flame

I'm going to use the brake for a 7mm, so I won't be out any money. I wish I could own a suppressor, Massachusetts... That would solve all my problems. I was also planning on using Varget... I'll let you know.

    Taming a 16" 308 flame

I do, and I'm about to search for some 16" 308 win loads. But that's a different topic...

    Taming a 16" 308 flame

I put a JP Compensator - Large Profile on 16" 308 Winchester barrel for the main purpose of helping muzzle rise. It helps a lot with recoil, but flames up and blocks the scope. Is it the JP Compensator along with the shorter barrel causing this? Would different ammo make a difference...

    Mail Call Mondays

When you talk about slings, could you mention why some slings come with so much extra webbing. I could make my sling fit Jabba the Hutt. Why so long?

Help with high and low inpacts at 200 and 300

Occasionally I'll see an AR style rifle shoot 2 groups like in your second picture. It is believed to be caused by magazine feeding from the left and right. Check to see if single feeding them helps at all. Or keep track of which side of the mag each round is loaded from. One feed ramp my be...

    Magpul PRS - WTF?

That or just move that rear ring up a half inch on the rail and slide the scope forward more. That back ring is real close to the ocular bell anyway.

    Magpul PRS - WTF?

A lot could have happened. My guess is something came loose or was bumped while you were installing the stock. I would check all the screws and nuts on the system. Start with the scope, most of the time that's the issue. It doesn't make sense that just a stock would have that much effect on...

Guys with a Timney Trigger in a CZ 455?

The Timney is hard to adjust if you're unfamiliar. No question about it. At a crisp 3.5 pounds, I have no issues with it. I don't adjust any of my triggers lower than 3 pounds though. I'm not doing any bench rest shooting. I wouldn't feel safe with anything lower than 2 pounds with the types...

Range Report Ballistic AE .. what is it missing that you want..

Just got the app and it is by far one of the hardest ballistic apps to figure out. Not because it has a lot of features, but because it's input system is not as clear as it should be. So my thoughts... "Favorites" should be first, and really it should be called "Ballistics Profiles". (like what...

Does the AI rail mount for M700 need to be bedded?

I've seen that video a while ago but forgot about it. Ok in that video John only beds one side of the rail, is that enough? Do I need to do both sides? Will there be any added benefit to bedding both sides?

Does the AI rail mount for M700 need to be bedded?

Does the AI rail mount for M700 need to be bedded?

I'm getting a "Accuracy International Action Rail Mount" for a Remington 700 short action. Do you think this rail will need to bedded to the action? Do all rails need to be bedded? How can you tell if a rail needs to be bedded?

AICS AX and XLR Chassis comparison

There is no latch on the XLR like on the AX to keep the stock folded and not bouncing around. In my opinion, the latch is an important aspect of the folding mech. The AX latch is pretty basic, would like to see that improved by making it less obtrusive. But not having a latch makes it hard to...

AICS AX and XLR Chassis comparison

I'm on the fence on the AICS AX and XLR for a short action Remington 700. I know the features are very similar. It's why I picked them. I'm looking for pistol grip, folding, night optic capable. I've tried the AX and like shooting it, but I have not shot the XLR. I'm definitely getting a...
