Night Vision TSA & PVS14 - What are the rules ?

Is it worth mentioning that leaving the country with them might not be a great idea? As I believe most NVD gear is considered military hardware and thus requires an export/import licence. Yes, I know, it is silly, but still just a word of warning.

    Larue OBR 16" with surefire

What is the total weight on your rifle? The only downside of the OBR is the weight, otherwise it is an incredible platform.

Rifle Scopes How much scope base cant/elevation do you use? 0MOA? 20MOA? 45MOA?

Wouldn't it really depend on the ranges you want to shoot at. If you are planning to always shoot out past 1000 yards with this rifle put a 30MOA or 40MOA type riser on the rifle. If you will only be doing that rarely, stick with the 20MOA. Of course, you could always just sight in at 300...

    Question about tumblers

Unless you are using something like Lyman's treated media, you will have a dust issue. I'm not sure what the moisture would do to media but my guess is at the very least you would have media stuck in your primer flash holes.

How much material do you remove from Lake City primer crimps?

I would love the answer for this one as well.

    Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

Thank you Spartan. Looks like Sir Hrmechanic pointed to another article that talks about how there were multiple failures from command, to team lead, to training. OK, enough of this crap. On with more tits and ass shots!

F T/R Competition Benchrest vs F-class and other genres of shooting Comps?

I'm most likely the least qualified to answer this, but in my eyes they are all different crafts with their own challenges. All of them require skill and a little black magic. All of them require different equipment and training. Do what you like, brag about how well you do, put down who you...

Remington sps with varget and 155

Just to verify the rifle, find yourself a box or two of Federal Gold Medal Match. I'll assume .308 or 7.62x51. Yes, they have both. Easier reloading the .308, than the 7.62x51 but either works great. Then if those work well, I would just try a few different powders and work around until you...

I must have missed it on the website and in this forum entry, what type of material are these made out of?

semi .308 shooters, lend me your ears

If you have assembled a AR-15 from parts, you could always look at building your own AR-10 based platform. Of course I know you said money was an issue, but for my money I would save up for an LaRue OBR. :)

    Gunsmithing Precision Rifle Cleaning

So, what do people think about using a bore snake? For example, running a bore snake down barrel quickly after a day at the range? Just as a quick cleaning? Pros/Cons?

Advanced Marksmanship Best 308 Factory ammo?

I like Federal Gold Medal Match 7.62 (or .308) 175gr SMK HPBT so much, I actually built my hand loads to operate exactly like it. That way I can use my hand loads or a box of factory. It seems actually like a black magic round, it is just that good.

    Gunsmithing Lazzeroni Warbird Action Issue

A buddy of mine has a Lazzeroni Warbird rifle. Nice rifle. Recently the bolt has had this odd issue. As it was described to me, he did a detailed clean, reassembled it and everything seemed OK. A few days later, he was out hunting. He chambered a round, and then tried to flip the safety on...
