    “Real” Howa?

Directly from Howa in Japan when I inquired some years back: Hello, ****-san. Thank you for your interests in our products. Regarding the twist rates of our .223, they vary depending on their production time as follows: upto July 2013 - 1/12 from Aug. 2013 to Apr. 2018 - 1/9 since May 2018...

    Defiance bought out

Seem to be doing alright. Prices have been all over the board. The Classic action is in line price wise with other similar actions. I like Defiance and prefer them to others.

    Sig Kilo 2000 - Dead?

Experienced the dead screen on my Kilo 2000 as well. I did purchase a Kilo 5K afterwards but that will be my last Sig electro-optic. If their devices can't last longer than 5-6 years, I'll seek elsewhere. I don't use the device but a few times/yr. Competition is good and it looks like Sig has...

Rifle Scopes Tract Toric 4-20 vs other Tract models?

I have the Tract Toric 4-20x50 PRS MRAD. I really like the reticle and the scope. However, the tunneling effect when looking through it is worse than I would expect for a scope this price. Is tunneling an issue with the 4-25x50?

    Sig Kilo 2000 - Dead?

    Reloading Purchase List

I bought the reloading manuals first (Lyman was a good one) and learned a lot from reading it. The advice provided above is spot on. You'll find over time that your time is money and to reload more and quicker, it will become more expensive. An example of that for me was a Giraud trimmer. For...

    Summer Squirrel Rifles

That is nice! Not many manufacturers produce 22lr rifles these days with steel and walnut. That would be a joy to hunt with.

    My Borden Alpine

I have a Borden Alpine that Karl Feldkamp built for me in .223 Ackley. It has to be one of the smoothest bolts I own and also one of the tighter fitting bolts. I've had this rifle ~15 years and never any of the issues you're experiencing. You should probably contact Jim Borden and inquire with him.

    LRF Mono, which one?

Let's try this another way. Sig Kilo 2000 is what I have now and the display is fading. Otherwise it's been a great rangefinder. What's out today that's similar that you'd recommend? Another Sig or something else? Are the Sig displays still fading after a period of time?

    LRF Mono, which one?

Sorry, yes, 4-5K yards, not $$. Budget wise, under $800.

    LRF Mono, which one?

I'm still using an older Sig rangefinder and the display is fading out on me. I need a new rangefinder but want something that'll last and is accurate. Wouldn't mind another Sig provided the display last longer than this one. Who are the players these days in the 4-5K yard range without breaking...

115 DTAC RBT velocities / barrel lengths

I'm using Litz's number: .276. I haven't played with it enough to really hone in. This gets me on steel at 1K. Start there and see what that gets you.
