Any flash sales for the Vortex 1-10's in the near futures? Feeling impulsive...

I own/have owned both: 3 JP, and 2 Larue. The Larue OBR was the most accurate of any of these particular sticks, and build quality was at the very least on par with JP, and to my personal thought, a tic better. Also.. I'm no Larue or ML fanboi, so we can get that out of the way right now...

Thanks for following up. Can you expand on these enhancements leading to the price increase? Are these tangible features the end user will see and/or use on the range, or are they more mechanical in nature; ie. making the product more robust, different glass, etc.? Cheers

I don't have either, yet, though I will be buying the CQBSS with the H-27D when funds allow. Even w/o a daylight bright reticle, one can still make a strong argument for illumination in low-light situations (dusk/dawn). But, for me, since I'm looking for the optic to serve multiple purposes...

^this is where my $$$ is going for the same application. Lots of reviews (including a number of them on this site) - quick search will bring one up. I'll be going with the h27d reticle since it's illumination daylight bright, and it's just a great all around kit. Relatively light weight too...

Fair enough - depending on where these settle at street price, I may pick one up before the MSR drops. I have to admit, the price-point is quite compelling.

Advantage to me? Familiarity, and general satisfaction with the MSR. Not to suggest the SCR is any more or less functional - just comes down to preference.

With respect - the market doesn't care what MAP price is, or is not. What buyers do hold in regard, however, is what they pay for a unit given it's overall value proposition at that point in time. And no, that's not LEO pricing. That's market price - both internet, and local.

Since you asked... to me, the value proposition at $1499 does put it within throwing distance of optics like the Leupy Mark 6 3-18x44 (TMR) to my door, for $1749. Nice and light at only 1.6oz more than this Bushy, great company, respectable glass, good reticule (though if I had my druthers.. I...

I'd agree with the above - if you can stretch it, I'd go with the Leupold all day long. But, if you want to stay in budget, I think the SS is still gonna be the best option available..IMHO of course.
