Not a tactical scope but great for a hunting rig. Has my name engraved on it from the factory but in good shape with great glass. Slight ring marks and some finish wear. Comes with Butler Creek caps. $280 shipped.
Just getting back into things and looking for ADG 6.5 PRC brass. Might be a unicorn but thought I'd try. Anywhere it's in stock or if anybody has extra they like to part with.
I think I'll buy a box of Berger bullets for every post the guy makes trying to nitpick your work :-) I do have a question though, on the calculator, it shows the 215 Hybrid .308 out of a 10 twist at 2940, just above sea level, as marginally stable. However other online calculators (jbm) show...
I am turning necks and running only about 1.5 thousands total clearance. With the long bullets seated deep, the donut forming is a concern so I expand the neck and turn one more time after firing to push the donut to the outside and turn it down. Then on subsequent firings, I size with a .333...
After a brief jaunt into the 6.5 SAUM territory, I had Chad at Longrifles Inc spin up 300WSM barrel on their group buy Remington 700 package. This is his match reamer with a .335NK and SAMMI freebore. After getting a load dialed in and getting used to the stock, this thing has proven to be a...
I vote for 300WSM. I'm running the 215 Berger Hybrids at 2940 out of a 26" barrel with 61.8 grains of powder. It beats the 6.5SAUM in wind drift and energy, but the 6.5 is just a hair flatter at 1000. More recoil with the WSM, and I suspect barrel life won't be much worse with the WSM than...
I have both right now, shipping the ATACR off soon. I just spent some time looking through both of them. Dimming light looking into a mix of birch and spruce forest with fall colors. I give the glass quality edge to the ATACR. The image seemed to have more depth and was brighter, while the...
Look at JLK website. The do exactly what you are talking about with some of their bullets. The 6.5 130 and the 6.5 140, for instance, have the same dimensions made in the same die, with a different weight core. BC is lower on the lower weight bullet.
Anybody that shoots could tell right away he was a sniveling academic with a grudge. I think he missed the "know your audience" in communications class. :-) I'd say just don't publish a BC for flat base bullets. Don't let the idiot cost you time and money.
