    Re: Doe killing with the 300 Blackout! Still cracks? Speed of sound at 45 degrees F is 1101.2 fps. That is only 85 fps slower than their stated muzzle velocity. If some rounds crack and others don't, you are right on the ragged edge of the speed of sound for bullet velocity! I don't know...
