Thanks All. It seems we have to get the UKV board software upgraded due to google binning reCaptcha (...whatever that means!). The upgrade has been requested. Once the upgrade is 'in', normal service should resume.
Outstanding detail. Many thanks. Yes, 2" looks to be the requirement - as you say, therefore the Spuhr doesn't appear to have enough forward reach for the 5-25 PM2 on an AR. Seems to have narrowed down to Bobro or GDI (can't tell if NF has saddle clearance?) Bobro looks to be the...
Some excellent answers; many thanks All, I will read in slow-time later today and digest properly. Budget tyres on a Ferrari? I'm not sure; think that sometimes - in the days of CNC- we're sometimes falling victim to the 'cost more, must be better' brain response; with no/little difference...
I suppose the reason I don't come on snipershide so often nowadays is silly petulant little bunched knicker answers like that. Your post amounted to no more than stating a brand. A great answer if the question had been: Please list any cantilever brands you know. If you would like to add...
Thanks, but at $565, the GDI looks to be more than twice the price of, say, LaRue; can't imagine any really good reason for that. I'm hoping someone can tell me of a 'normal' LaRue-ish price cantilever with an incline and sufficient clearance for the 5-25 saddle that they're successfully using.
What are people using to mount 5-25 PM2s on ARs? Grateful for a pointer towards an inclined 34mm cantilever mount with sufficient ring height for the 5-25's deep saddle. Thanks!
Are you dremeling just the [have to reality check myself that I'm typing a question about dremel-fixing magazines on a rifle in this price range! :D ] Are you dremeling just the points and knife edges of the lips, or doing anything internal to stop the follower occasionally tipping and jamming...
Good to hear. Hope you're right :) My impression is -based on chatting to a shooting pal who makes his living restoring extraordinarly expensive classic cars- that to anyone with a sheet metal skill set, making up the forms and pressing out a magazine is not difficult. This is one of a bunch...
That'd be a reasonable solution if these rifles were the same price as a 10/22 :) However, if new stock sides were required in order to allow fitting of a well designed and well made magazine, I'd trip over myself in my rush to buy them (the DTA's flat bottom action would accept something akin...
Anyone have an update on 10 round magazines? Frustrated with waiting :( Apologies for again being 'off message' from the zeal in this thread, but, in a single afternoon loading these sharp, difficult-to-load, awful 6 rd magazines in the rain, I destroyed a pair of neoprene gloves I've had for...
Yup, that's how I see it. Agree with that one too. Can't remember who, but a great industrialist/retailer once said 'only half of my marketing works; the trouble is, I don't know which half'; Nick, I'd say, based on the fact that some people here seem to rejoice at nebulous and undefined...
