I think 18x on a scope that goes to like 27x is better on a scope that goes only to 18x. The eyebox tends to be more generous. Sub $1500 I think the leupolds 5-25 and 7-35 might be a solid choice (assuming you have the right credentials)--it'll look a little funny but they wont hold you back
2021 thread coming back to life--my opinions have changed. I run a maverick. I ordered a Magnus K RR. Taking the edge off is magic. The length is irrelevant.
I believe thats a pubic hair.(Kidding--I think it's a hair from the super tight fit of two sealing surfaces) I had one in one of my old US Optics scopes. If it's any hollow comfort, I would suspect the hair came out during transit, while things were still settling in the optic. Hopefully...
Can someone help me understand the workflow of a unit like this, is it really as simple as: point your reticle at a target, hit button, get elevation, dial elevation, hold left edge send it Or like are you wiggling the reticle around the target to get a readback you like and it is a bit...

If your action feeds reliably from box magazines, the bolt handle is to your liking, the effort required to run the bolt is to your liking, then a custom action is probably not worth it. Blueprinting will help the feel a little bit by more appropriately timing your sear engagement (but you'll...

I have never tried dasher before, so can't comment about it's performance in AI platform, but I'm not exactly surprised it didn't feed worth a fuck. The easy button for me was to go to 6x47L, 6-6.5x47L...whatever you call it, and haven't looked back since.
Not sure if joking but I 100% couldn't get dasher to feed reliable, HRD kits and everything on the AO chassis. eta: endlessly fucked with feed lips got new everything, the best I got it was a hiccup every other mag or so.
