I am trying to decide between a regular crosshair and a mildot reticle. How important is mil dot for a casual target shooter that will be shooting on a range that can go up to 600 yards at known distances.

Bushnell Elite 6-24x40 Semi-Target Turrets MilDot, I am looking for opinions on this scope. I plan to put it on a remington 700 sps tac in .223. I plan to casually shoot on a range that will go out to 600 yards.

What is the proper technique for bench shooting a Remington 700, as far as griping the stock. Do you just touch the trigger or wrap your thumb around the stock? Also what do people use under your stock to prop it up?

I am looking for a good instructional video for bench shooting basics, or maybe even just a good YouTube video on this topic.

What brand of lube do you reccomended for bolt lugs and what oil for bolt body? This is for a Remington 700
