I was finally able to deer hunt with my 300 Blackout and see how well it would perform on larger game than smaller hogs (200# and under) and was up in a stand that could give me a 270yd shot at the longest. I worked up a very accurate load with both the 125gr Hornady SST & 110gr Barnes TTSX and...
It's a Bobro QD mount and in my experience it's THE BEST QD mount as I haven't lost the zero in the over 50 times I've installed & removed the mount from my AR. I've used the LaRue, American Defense and a few other QD mounts but they don't hold zero like the Bobro and it doesn't cost more.
I got my CO-MR last Friday after a long wait. I originally got a Pulsar DFA75 from Kenzie's Optics but found out that not only was it seriously defective, it was also physically painful for me to use. I've had the unit lock up and even shut off after firing a round and even had a black & white...
I had a DFA75 MK2 but I didn't find it to be the performer that shoots100 finds it. I ended up sending it back and am myself looking to fill that void with a "traditional" NV clip-on as in my experience digital just isn't "there" yet. I've been thinking about the CO-MR or possibly a PS22. I'm...
I was able to shoot my rifle this morning for the first time and right before the day turned boiling hot & humid. I used a large bag up front and a small cartridge box under the rear of the stock to help stabilize. The scope used is a Bushnell 3.5-21x50 HDMR w/H59 reticle and Warne steel QD...
The short throw is really nice and the bolt travel is super slick, the things that threw me was it uses a long action (w/no option for long action caliber conversions) and the super long magazine. I can load projectiles way out there if I need to and not worry about running out of magazine...
That's what I was thinking when I saw the big Rollback tag under the rifle. I was originally looking for a 716 as I read elsewhere that they were also going for 997.00 but that WM didn't have the 716. There is only 1 other WM in town that sells firearms but I didn't feel like driving across...
I just got my SSG 3000 yesterday at Wal Mart for 997.00 + tax on sale here in central NC. I read on another forum that Wal Mart was deeply discounting some of their rifles and I had to check it out for myself because frankly I didn't believe what people were saying. Sure enough it was like 30%...
Did I say a dirty word or something? Like I said I'm very new (and ignorant) to NV and from my reading I do realize that digital can't compare to Gen3 (what about Gen2??) but I'm just looking for something to hunt with, not find bad guys in the dark. Is there anything wrong with the Pulsar DFA...
Any feedback on the Pulsar DFA 75? Excuse my ignorance but I know basically nothing when it comes to NV and all I know is that this clip on is a digital unit. I'm only asking because I saw one at the gun show today and the vendor was badgering the snot out of me to trade that unit for my ACR...
That's a really nice looking rifle. If you do decide to shoot her (I recommend that you do...you will find that they have about the finest trigger you ever laid a finger on) I recommend buying the Suhl 150 round bar trigger that a guy sells on GB as the factory trigger can be on the delicate...
If you have some ammo then you should put some rounds downrange...it would be a crime not to. As far as value, it of course depends on condition, scope matching or not, if you have a Swiss model (non-spiraled barrel) and that it's all original. The last rifle I saw on GB sold for around...
I picked up a SSG-82 off this forum some time last year that came with the numbered scope, 4 magazines & a little over 1000 rounds of ammo. I shoot it regularly and with Wolf 60gr. HP I easily shoot under 2" at 100yds. Shooting paper bullseye targets farther than that gets pretty difficult...
I'm sorry for the lack of updates & replies as I'm out of state on vacation and I won't be home until the end of next week. When I get home I will be able to take measurements but now I can only report on the last time I fired it. I was able to shoot 50 rounds in the last session and all of...
Sorry for the delay...I got lazy with the pics. Anyway, here are some of the cases. The 2 on the left are the factory rounds and the others are my reloads. It's hard to see the stress on the reloaded cases, but the splits are visible on the factory cases. And for giggles here is the rifle...
