    M40a1 build guide

Leo Conring did my M40A1 build. That's how he did mine, and he said all the ones that he built at Quantico were done that way.

    H1000 now??? 10 minutes

My assumption would be that no one responded because it's illegal to ship powder. I'm sure there were some that would have taken you up on it, however there's a very hefty fine involved for shipping the stuff withthout HAZMAT shipper's credentials. You cannot ship powder or primers.

Never had an issue with the one's I run. +1 for Jewel. Robust and about the best breaking trigger I've used. Like I said, never had an issue. Just my opinion......Tickle

    M40a1 build guide

This is just my opinion. I didn't recognize the builder for one. I didn't see any of the parts marked with SN#'s at all. The stock looks like a "new" Mcmillan M40A1-HTG, if it does not have the documentation as a return stock that's a big hit on price. The barrel crown looks a little rough to me...

    M40a1 build guide

Both types are correct. Mine was built by Leo Conring USMC PWS 2112 Armorer who built M40A1's at Quantico with Eric Reid. Here's a picture. TWOMANATTACK has some fine examples also all throughout the thread.

What wait is your trigger at?

Surgeon Scalpel .300 win mag Jewel trigger set @ 2 lbs. M40A1 correct trigger set @ 2lbs also. I wouldn't go any lower on a working gun. Just my opinion.....Tickle

    M40a1 build guide

I've got one that I haven't seen on here yet. Looks like an M40A3 in a M40A1 Stock. Any thoughts? I just had a build finished in this exact configuration by Leo Conring. Thanks to D_TROS for the service pic. Leo was a 2112 Armorer. My build Just thought I'd share another M40A1...

Barrel Break In and Cleaning Questions

Here were the first shots out of my Surgeon Scalpel, 12 shots down the tube, first 7 were sight in "not pictured". Here are the last 5 at 100. Like I said I don't give much thought to break in. I generally let the gun tell me what it needs. Listen to what Lowlight is saying, he has more...

Barrel Break In and Cleaning Questions

When I got my Surgeon I didn't follow any special break in procedure and it's a shooter. I personally don't think it matters. Clean it when it needs it. Read this please. How to Break-in a Barrel
