Getting my Desert Tech SRS A2 setup and got the Atlas Super CAL in. It seems really large for this rifle. Did I go too big or are there advantages I'm not thinking of? School me. Should I have gone with the CAL instead? I do shoot 300WM in this system sometimes. Thanks.

Not sure what monk meant about your expectations being overkill either. The 17 is VERY capable at 800 yards.
