    DIY Target Cam

Can either of yours (Jummy and Diver) be ran with multiple cameras at once, so a guy could toggle between them? Or is that a whole new set of challenges, and much higher price? I honestly know nothing about this, so this thread has been waay helpful, thank you all for that. My thought is in...

Hunting & Fishing Got a 1200 yard prairie dog?

Here's the link to the contest web page. It's out of Rawlins, but you can hunt anywhere you want to, as long as you make it to the rules meeting and check in on time. National Coyote Calling Championship | One of the Nations Premier Coyote Calling Contests

Hunting & Fishing Got a 1200 yard prairie dog?

I've got a load that works great out of my AR using 75gr Hornady BTHP, and 24.5 gr of CFE 223. I've taken that load out to 1100 on steel (military range sized (ish) human silhouette, so not really precision at that range). To date farthest PD with it is 547yds. That is due mostly to limitations...

Hunting & Fishing Got a 1200 yard prairie dog?

Thank You DK Stoney, Yeah I wish I could say that with honesty. Maybe after a few beers a guy could shave the round count down a few from 4. LOL

Hunting & Fishing Got a 1200 yard prairie dog?

Yes, We've seen them do that. Little fuckers seem to know when we have a guy heading downrange on the four wheeler too. That's when the corpse robbing generally happens, when we (the observers walking in the shooter to his prize) can't send any lead downrange.... We have had some discussion on...

Hunting & Fishing Got a 1200 yard prairie dog?

Not near me there isn't. Everything I shoot is on private land. The closest towns on public stuff would be up north towards the border with South Dakota, and then west towards Wyoming as well. All are just a couple hours from me.

Hunting & Fishing Got a 1200 yard prairie dog?

Pups are usually out early May, but the weather here is sketchy at best then (caught 6" of snow, when it had been 90 48hrs prior). It really depends, the longer shots are usually made in June, due to the willingness of the fresh pups to not run off when splashed with dirt, and there's ALOT of...

Hunting & Fishing Got a 1200 yard prairie dog?

I will admit, that I'm spoiled as I have plenty of towns at my disposal to shoot that are anywhere from 5 minutes away to an hour, so I can travel depending on weather if need be lol. I'm working up to a mile CK as my ultimate goal, but that is going to require a new build and optics. Ehh it's...

Thank You all. Tackleberry, That's Awesome!!! You do realize your patience resulted in the elimination of an entire family?....lmao @ Double3, go ahead and use the pose lol. The group of guys I shoot with; we have an agreement that you have to be able to recover the carcass for the shot to...

Hunting & Fishing Got a 1200 yard prairie dog?

Neither do I, BUT I came darn close this past weekend. It's my new personal best. Thought I had it beat 24hrs later, but after watching a double backflip, landing on its back, the dog drug itself back into a hole, thus ending my claim to the 1300yd confirmed kill. No carcass, no picture, doesn't...

    Time for an "official" introduction

Thank You all. And yes, I am very fortunate to have the ground I do and neighbors that allow me to shoot across fence lines. All I have to do is not shoot their livestock and make sure the coyotes and deer population in the area is kept in check. Hard bargains they drive I'm telling ya!!
