"M40A1 slings. In my experience they were used very little and mostly stayed in the protecto kaddy. We used 550 cord slings. Feild expediant slings that were looped through the front sling swivel and around our wrist. Leather slings were left in the hard cases. I cannot ever remember using...
M40A1 Guidline pricing question ... PWS built M40A1 with M40A1 scope base, stamped gunbook, insured shipping. I looked at GA Precisions website. I think GAP builds the highest quality M40A1s on the market and it looks like this is what they go for. GA Precision quality M40A1 rifle $3700 +...
Makes no difference to me now what route this post takes. My question was answered when the owner Badger Ord chimed in... I got my answer. I would just see ALOT of people advertising M40A1s and when you look closely, they were some other configuration. Or they were missing important details...
Based on the following " " email I read, sounds like they wont be doing another run. I know they have said before that they wont but, this time I believe them. Maybe I am wrong, but If I were asked, I'd say US Optics is not going to be building the next run of MST scopes. Just sayin... "Date...
I just sold one for the same price as GA PRECISON charges for a new one. Exact same price. Not on a return stock, but brand new. It had scope the scope mount already installed. I also listed one on gunBroker last year in a return stock with a mst-100 and the bid went to $9800! If you want a...

I guess this begs the question. What if the rifle was built BY a Marine armoror at Quantico, then used over seas by a Marine Sniper AFTER they left the Marines? Would that make it authentic?
Missing my Dad right now! I so want to brag about him. On another note, post 1964 Win bottom metal on USMC rifles was always steel. Both hinged floor plate and trigger guard as far as i know.
T or F ? To qualify as an M40A1 it must have all of the following parts: Rem 700 clip slotted short action Chanbered in 308 Old style Remington trigger Hart, Douglas, rock, HS atchickson or Schnieder barrel McMillan HTG NON STIPPLED Smear or Camo pattern stock Pachmayr butt pad brown basket...
There is a rifle that looks familiar! I know that there was alot of detail put into that gun. It is on a US Marines returned stock and no detail was over looked. All the way down to the paint job and tape, this gun is a peice of Marines history. I have seen that guns sister and they look...
