Yup, another gun cabinet cerakote oven... *pic heavy*

Thanks for the great thread! Will that blanket insulation that you used on the walls of the oven shed loose fibers that could stick to your cerakote while it's still wet?

Sidearms & Scatterguns Rant on Kimber & "Not Cheap" 1911s in General

Re: Rant on Kimber & "Not Cheap" 1911s in General As much as you'd like to protect your aluminum frame, I'd suggest not using a shok buff on a 1911 that is shorter than a 5" Govt. Model. The slide's travel is already reduced on most Commander (and shorter) 1911s, which is why they have an...

    Gunsmithing Screwdrivers/Punches etc.....

Re: Screwdrivers/Punches etc..... +1 on the Brownells screwdrivers, both the individual screwdrivers and the bit sets, as well as the Starret pin punches. If you use a small punch a lot, such as a 1/16", try the Brownells punch with the replaceable punch pin. I got tired of bending the...

Re: For You Grizzly G4003G Lathe Owners Has anyone ever tried one of these threading toolholders? http://www.aloris.com/index.php/pages/no.8.html It looks like it just takes a quick grind to "refresh" the top of the cutting tool, re-adjust the height and you're back to cutting threads again.

    Gunsmithing Remington 870 Repair

Re: Remington 870 Repair It's not uncommon for 870 to break the ejector spring right at the front rivet hole. Find someone who knows how to fix 870s. Brownells sells a hollow cutter that cuts the "mushroom" off the head of the rivet and the remaining rivet can sometimes be re-used a second...
