I haven't weighed it after I finished spraying the clear on it. I will have to break it apart and weigh it one day, I had a Vee Block put in by ray so I am sure you could save a few ounces without that. I know the whole rig weighs 17lb's 13oz's or so.
Well it has been really cold and windy here since I finished so I haven't gotten to really test it out yet. Its been killing me b/c I need to do some load development but it was a heck of a shooter before the new stock so I can only expect it to shoot as good or better. I do think the new stock...
I used to get a bunch of free LC LR brass through a job and used it to shoot matches the first year I started shooting F/TR. It took some work to get ready and you do lose some capacity. I shoot blue box now but nothing wrong with the LC brass if you dont mind putting in the work.
I had the same problem with my savage F/TR and sinclair Gen 3. I solved it with removing the felt and using the sinclair delux bipod adapter. I also added some washers under the wing nuts since you are removing material from removing the felt. It is very solid now. Aaron

I have a stock savage F/TR and after shooting all year with the factory setup I am in the market for some upgrades over the winter. I am planning on upgrading the stock first and am curious about what you guys think are some good options. I have been talking with Ray Bowman about one of his...
The highest safe velocity you can obtain with your barrel length and shoot accurately. Velocity is your friend, but a higher bc bullet would help you more.
I am having a little trouble attaching the Sinclair 3rd generation f-class bipod to my savage f/tr rifle. I think the major problem might be the stock adapter that it came with and I will probably replace it, but it has more wiggle in it than I was hoping for. Has anyone had this same problem...
The only reason I would get a 1-8 twist in a 308 is if I wanted to stabilize subsonic a. 1-10 is about all you could ever want or need and will stabilize 220's easily which is probably more bullet than your lookin for anyways.
Finally got time to sit down in my shop and put all the pieces together and this is what I came up with. matched black dawn upper and lower cerakoted in FDE from from the shop Magpul MAID and ACS-L MI 15" SS Free Float handguard with trim ring Black Hole Weaponry 18" 1x8 twist...
Sierra has a weight variance allotment of +- .3 grains for their SMK's so you shouldn't find more variance than that. I do not think there is anything to worry about with that little amount of weight variation, and their are probably much more important things to worry about. I get kind of...
